I'm not certain why this location remains open any longer. Half of the lights are off, which is immediately noticeable. Too, the selection has been vastly reduced over the past couple of years, especially in men's wear. All items are poorly stocked and seem as little more than remnants that are preceding a close out sale.
Shelves and racks are heavily picked over and in complete disarray. a significant level of pants and jeans are left unfolded and left in small piles, mixed together. This can be attributed to two elements, both of which are out of the control of the store. First, the store is short staffed. This is a national issue and one that this store in a small town cannot escape. Unfortunately, while I can sympathize with the situation, it does remain a problem that has in part lead to the disarray and lack of cleanliness. Second, so many customers take a position where they feel like they can leave a mess in their wake that it worsens an already difficult situation. Dumping unwanted items wherever they please is not acceptable, and yet the mindset remains for many that they shouldn't bother placing something back where they found it because it isn't their problem.
I cannot see this location remaining open for many more years at this rate; and I do not know the solution. Stocking the racks and turning on the lights might be a start; but it seems like matters are so desperate at this store that they may not be able afford to do so (readily admitting that I have absolutely no inside knowledge as to whether this is the case).
It's a depressing place to shop at, a terrible experience, and what stock is there is overshadowed by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo clear signage about not being allowed to take the shopping carts to the parking lot. The Shopping cart wheels locked up on the way out of the store with an infant strapped to my chest and a toddler in the stroller - plus the bags for my purchases and a diaper bag in the cart. When I tried to pull the cart back out of the door way it tipped over with my toddler still sitting in it. She has a bruise on her face and hip and I have a bruise on my arm. Not only did I have a terrified and hurt toddler, I had to carry everything to the car without a shopping cart to make it easier. The associates pretty much said ānext time just ask us to unlock the cart and you can take it outsideā. I was not asked if I want to file an injury report or speak to a manager. If I wasnāt so frustrated and dealing with a sobbing child, I would have asked for a manager myself. I guess Kohls doesnāt want people to buy very much in the store since you canāt take the carts to the parking lot. No wonder brick and mortar stores are shutting down and everyone shops online. I am glad that self-checkout was added to this Kohlās because typically there are very few registers open and the line is wrapped around the store to check out. I have put my items back and walked out instead of waiting on multiple occasions at this Kohlās because of that. Also, coupons work on very few items, but thatās on corporate & not the stores themselves. Spent nearly $200 and my 15% coupon only saved...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1 experience of 5total visits, should not determine note-worthyness. Ty for free speech. Upon 1 visit, with a friend of color,& there to meet an employee for lunch, we were followed throughout this store, also with security monitoring, over stores PA system noting sections we explored. This was told to us by the employee we were ther to meet. The following us part was obvious. Maybe because store was relatively empty. Maybe we gave security some training time(somethingy to do that day). Later i was advised many people of color rarely visits. This too, may be worth noting; we were there in February, looking for ANYTHING with African colors, or combination of colors to suffice. After asking 3 clerks and management, African colors were nowhere, per staff to be found in the store. All Associates were unaware of what colors they may be. No associate was aware of February being BLACK HISTORY month, to say the least. I guess they lost my friend as a return customer, on different levels now. The prices i have witnessed in Kohl, are extremely over priced. Since the last visit...it WAS my last visit! To date, i can't think of 1 item i would EVER return to any Kohl store to purchase, that i would not try looking somewhere else FIRST,SECOND, or third. Even when unable to find, Kohl is NOT! an option. Soon they too will move/relocate... i wonder why. Maybe money these days are in different colors. When will this world change for the better of...
