Midtown Barbershop — Local services in St. Louis

I had a couple of undesirable experiences here, but the owner is so on top of things that she had it all taken care of. Basically, I had a bad haircut from someone there. Not naming them because it could have been an off day or whatever. I didn’t want to go back to them after that for obvious reasons though. The owner made sure the haircut was fixed and refunded. I scheduled another appointment with a random barber. This one I will name though — Emily. She switched my appointment to…get this…the first barber. She said it was so she could fit in one of her regulars. She did not inform me or anyone of this. The entire situation was awkward and gave me anxiety. Emily refused to help fix the situation, just tells me she moved me without warning and basically “too bad.” No apology either.

Marie came over to me and offered to squeeze me in. I’m glad I took her up on it, because she gave an amazing haircut, and was so sweet and friendly.

tl;dr: Emily is rude and unprofessional Marie is a fantastic barber and very nice the owner...

I called them and scheduled my appointment this morning around 10:43 for 1:00PM. And just now 12:39PM, I got a message from them saying we cancelled your appointment because we’re running an hour behind? If you are running an hour behind that means you knew you were running behind an hour ago, why didn’t tell me right away? Be careful people, they might CANCEL your appointment anytime. Never been there and never will.

Edit: I was being polite when I called you and didn’t scream. You are claiming that it was delayed 15 mins? I got the proof of the cancellation message I received from you and when I talked to you, you said schedule for another day we are sorry. I was being nice and said okay thank you and hung up. What an experience! My work and time in the service have brought me all over the country and I have never had such a great haircut. The appointments are scheduled for about 45 minutes and take every bit of that. In my opinion, not a wasted second. I got a fade and I can tell you that it is as close to a perfect haircut as I have experienced. Morgan was absolutely top notch and her passion is obvious in her work. The atmosphere at this shop is unrivaled, I mean anywhere where your hairline is adjusted, they go over with a straight razor so the cut lasts longer. Who does that?!?! I have definitely found my new barber and would strongly recommend this...
