Update: They do have grilled chicken/ hamburgers sometimes but that is only if you're in Shamrock Club, meaning you have access to breakfast and lunch or if you live there in the women's shelter. The public can only access lunch.
It's an ok place. Free breakfast and lunch for anyone. Whether you're homeless or just wanting to conserve money. They offer free clothing every other Wednesday at 9:30, toiletries, blankets, shoes so you can add to your wardrobe or score an interview. Two shirts, two pairs of pants, one jacket. Every little bit helps. You can't go shopping here lol. The lunch and breakfast is good for the most part, not always the best but it's usually enjoyable. They serve salad every day at lunch which is nice because it's healthy. They have a vending machine upstairs for all the people that enjoy soda or juice. Women's night program in summary is all about cerfew. You get one approved signed night out a week. The dinners are way better than the lunch though, they even have tacos for dinner. I think more people volunteer for dinner, not certain. Anyway, it's a safe place to be when you have nowhere. They only give you a voucher if you "have a disability or is homeless every other year." Someone that works in the office at the women's program stated this.they've helped some with first and last for an apartment but it's best to not fully rely on it especially if there's "currently no funds". Even if you do not live here, they have housing programs downstairs in the welcome center that will help you with rent/utilities or possibly get you in a place but you have to sign up for it WAIT. Finding a place to live is a waiting process, once you understand that, you're all good. The women are nice. In Shamrock Club only, you get to wash and shower. It's a public place but I guess they don't want to many people having access to all the privileges because a lot of people can be gross and have no manners. Don't come up here expecting hamburgers for lunch or grilled chicken though. Everytime they serve lunch, the meat is usually served in a chopped up form and the food sends you to the bathroom sometimes. They need security outside as well...
