I want to point out that the water here is impeccable. Many restaurants have poor water. This water tastes purified. So fresh. I imagine The fountain of youth tastes just like this. Like.. I be looking for that taste in every restaurant. If the water is good, you know the food is gonna BUSSSS. Everything is good about this place. I’ve had the ramen everytime I’ve went and it’s so spicy and good! Great flavor. I’ve had the chicken and the beef. The chicken is my favorite tho. That broth was just impeccable. I didn’t like that I read that the ramen noodles were like the thin noodles you get in a .20 cent pack at the grocery and that’s false. These are thicker than those. Thick enough. They’re not the thicker ramen noodles I’ve had at other places BUT are they better? ABSOLUTELY. I get extremely full before I finish my bowl so that’s all that matters. When food makes you happy and hopeful all of a sudden after eating you know it’s good. This place definitely brings bliss and they have amazing prices!! I had the rainbow roll too. Delicious. Fresh. I added eel sauce. I was SO full.

My wife and I arrived at Mizu 20 minutes prior to opening, we went to leave but the owners leapt up to unlock the door and let us in. They told us to seat ourselves and we went for a two top but we're encouraged to take a bigger table given we were the only folks inside. The owner served us and she was exceptionally attentive and kind. We ordered a volcano roll, summer roll, sex and the city roll, and lobster roll. Everything was KILLER. Some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. From the time we entered to the drop of our chop sticks we were only inside for 30 minutes. We closed out our dining experience with some mochi and a deep fried cheesecake which matched the rest of the meal in quality and taste. The rain was coming down and the owner offered to let us hang out as long as needed. I cannot recommend this place enough. By far our favorite meal on our trip to St. Louis so far!

This place isn’t bad if you’re looking for a taste of sushi. The rolls taste pretty good, but they are slightly lacking. One thing that threw me for a loop was that the crab inside the rolls is just a stick of imitation crab. It takes away the creaminess of the roll by not having the crab mix inside, as is normally done. The rolls are also VERY small. I normally fill up with one roll at sushi places, but I need 2 here. At $12-14 a roll, that’s not cheap. I was excited to see mixed tempura on the menu but then confused when it was an entree in a bento box and not available at all as an appetizer. Mixed tempura is usually one of my favorite appetizers to order at a sushi place. Overall: taste was pretty good, fish was good, portions were very small, and you either spend a lot of money or leave hungry. My rating: 3.5 stars (I can’t do halves, so I was nice and went with 4)

To be honest, this place is not worthy of being downtown, I think this would be a better fit somebody in north country. The vibe of this place is VERY BORING. I did show up right at opening but it was still borning as hell. The best entertainment was the opening game for the cardinals that was being shown on the projector. Bow for the food, Sushi I had the new california roll which is a fried roll. It lacks flavor that I was expecting. Maybe it was a poor choice of the roll but I have been to other places like sushi ai that is far more tastier. The ramen I wanted off the menu was the Mizu ramen bowl which is their signature bowl but they didn't have it which was VERY DISAPPOINTING, how can you have something on the menu and don't have the item that matches the name of the restaurant. However I did order the chicken ramen and my husband had the shrimp ramen. Ramen was mid once again I had better at other places. The broth was spicy with slight favor but enough to complement the noodles. Almost like a scrambled egg instead of the normal egg you get with ramen. The beverage menu. My husband tried to order some type of bubble margarita which once again they didn't have. So the bill after everything ended up being 40 bucks with 18 percent gratuity included. I feel like 18 percent was a reach considering my waiter said she was bring me a refill on the water several times and I never got it until I was done with my meal. Overall this place is MID. Probably wouldn't pick this place by choice again. The place isn't bad, just you can pick a better spot to eat than this place. Make this your last choice but not your...

I had a terrible experience on Friday, January 23, 2015. It started off with a Groupon $40 for $80, and it ended with me and my wife leaving and vowing never to return. We arrived at their location, it's downtown StL so expect to pay for parking, and I was underwhelmed. It had an air of cheap sushi house trying to be fancy. Our server was nice but not very good. She seemed to not know the menu very well and was not very helpful. We ordered our sushi and fried rice and it came out quickly. The some of the rolls were good some were not. The portion size was pretty small given that each roll was about $12. We made sure to order about $80 worth of food because we had that Groupon. At the end of our meal I pulled out my Groupon and the waitress told me I couldn't use it because it was only for four people or more. And my wife and I only counted as two. EVEN THOUGH it says nothing in the fine print nor in the rules that you have to have four people present! She gave me the cash value, $40, but her attitude was "Your SOL". I felt tricked. Bamboozled. Hoodwinked. At the end of the day Groupon is to get new customers in the door to try your food and your service. Hopefully they will come back and tell their friends. I will never go back. They don't care about your experience. They are only doing the bare minimum. There are so many sushi places that you shouldn't waste your hard earned money on this over-priced-barely-above-grocery-store-level sushi.

I...

The owners are not friendly but the waiters ( if they can keep them long enough) are always very kind. There is a man (1 owner) who sits by the door typically, and he is beyond rude especially when he has made a mistake with an order. He rolled his eyes and said snapped no you ordered this. I calmly got up and went to the sushi station and talked to the man making it there (who was EXTREMELY kind. ) He stated that he thought he heard me order what I said but the owner put something else on the ticket. I did get my correct rolls needless to say. I also had an experience with the lady owner that is also always there, when she questioned how many different rolls I was ordering. She said that is too much you shouldn't eat that much and there is no take home box option with happy hour. I was truly insulted and embarrassed. I knew what I wanted and certainly didn't need a weight watchers consult and yes I kindly declined her advice and got what I asked for and ate it all with a side of eel sauce. Not to mention other behaviors I've witnessed when they are serving other customers!! I have given this place multiple chances to get there customer service together when dealing with people of any race, sex, gender identification etc. because they are close to my home and have good happy hour deals but after my last experience with the male owner I will not be returning. I rather eat from a trash dump while be...
