Dunham's is easily the most comprehensive sporting goods store in Statesboro. The selection in every department is extensive. The prices are comparable to what you might find in a Dick's. In fact that is the best comparison I could make. My largest interest in this store are golf, hunting, and shooting gear. There is a great selection across all price ranges. The only knock on the place I have is that I haven't interacted with any real knowledgeable associates in any of these departments. That's fine if you know what you're after, because they are likely to have it. However, if you are looking for someone on-hand to discuss product knowledge and product comparison, that might not be available. They have a ton of ammunition for fair prices, nearly every type of golf ball, and all the hunting supplies you could ever need. So they called me and told me to come back before to end of the year so I came back 12-28-24 and when me and fiancé both came back bc we both had guns in layaway so we come back to redo to background check to find out that we were both denied from buying a gun at Dunhams EVER. Me 19 yr old female has never bought a gun from anywhere and my 20 yr old male fiance has never bought a gun from Dunhams. We were both denied ON Black Friday. Read moreWe arrived at the store 10 minutes before it closed to get a fishing rod. A friend was coming fishing that didn't have a pole. We were greeted by "You know we close at 5". We were followed around and rushed. We were continuously told to bring our purchases to the front. I couldn't even get 2 seconds of peace to make a decision on what rod to get. It was the rudest display of customer service that I have ever experienced. I used to work in retail and was told that if a customer came in 30 seconds before you closed, you let them shop and not to rush them out of the store. On top of it, the rod I purchased had a coupon and I told the cashier that it had one. The cashier said if you find the coupon, bring the receipt back with the coupon.
