I began the trifecta procedure created by Dr. W in September. Up front he recommends three series of his trifecta procedure.
My following review is based off of receiving 2/3 of the series.
I was unable to complete all three rounds but not due to cost. In fact, I think his pricing is probably the best in the area, if not the state. I can attest that other offices within miles of his are almost double what he charges.
During my first visit one of his nurses told me that Dr. W genuinely just cares about results and not so much the money. Of course I took that with a grain of salt because it was his employee, but after seeing him twice I can attest that this is true.
So much so that after my first session, where we had gone the deepest and highest watts the lasers offered, I told him second time around I could not bare the pain of going that deep again. I don’t want to say that Dr. W ignored my requests, however we did start off the procedure at the highest wattage again. Afterwards I reached out to Dr. W and let him know I was upset and felt ignored and he immediately tried to make it right with me.
I believe he wants you to have the best results possible, but it’s easy to forget how painful the process can be. The pain was the very reason I could not bring myself to go a third time.
His office certainly does their due diligence in trying to make you comfortable. They numb you an hour before the procedure starts, and one of his nurses keeps a cool fan on your face during the laser. They do have the option I believe to put you under, however you will need a driver for that.
I received my first series in September, and my second one in November. He recommends they be spaced out about 4 to 6 weeks.
The recovery is about a week, and he does provide you with several creams and ointments to speed up the recovery.
Specifically with CO2 results don’t happen until about six months. You also have to be mindful that a few weeks after you get a Laser your skin can still be swollen, which makes the appearance of the scars more minimized.
Nonetheless, it’s December, so 3 months post my first procedure and 1 month post my second.
As of today I am extremely happy with my results.
Anyone with severe or atrophic scarring can tell you that it is something that consumes your day-to-day life. I can tell I have genuine results just based off the fact I no longer obsessively take photos of my skin in every angle and light out there. Now, I can just get ready and go about my day without thinking twice about my skin. To me, that is worth everything.
I want to tell you that the pain and money is worth it. However, if you can, see about just going under for the procedure. My pain tolerance genuinely is not that low, but this is something that is extremely difficult to get through.
I highly, highly recommend the trifecta procedure. I would recommend the office offer a bundle deal if you buy all three up front you receive some sort of discount. Had I done that I may have forced myself to complete the...

I bought a groupon for Troy Laser Center last year, and I've been holding off writing a review until my treatment was completed because I didn't want to write a preemptive review, as I know laser hair removal can take some time to work. I have very fair skin and very dark hair, which theoretically makes me an ideal candidate for laser hair removal, and I was having a lot of problems with ingrown hairs and infected poors by waxing and shaving. I bought 2 groupons, and used for my facial hair and my bikini line.
Yes, I used a Groupon. Yes, the quality of service provided was probably affected as a result (if not, normal customers have my sympathies).
Onto the review. Upon attempting to make my appointment, I waited a few weeks for a call back. Fine, I understand, Groupons can overload businesses. My first appointment was in August of last year. First, this place is located in an urgent care facility, which in and of itself is not problematic. However, the front office staff does not really interact with the laser patients, which I found to be odd. From my experience, the office support in these types of situations supports all professionals working in the office, not just specific doctors and so forth.
When I met the tech, she seemed to be rushed and abrasive (or dare I say CRANKY?). This seemed to be habitual throughout the 4 sessions that I was able to use (more on that later). You need to be just on time, or you WILL hear about it from the tech, even if you call ahead of time to let them know you are stuck in traffic or in a bad situation. To much time around the cold laser has transferred her attitude, I guess. The one good thing about the tech is that she is fast, however, she takes almost no consideration of your comfort level before/during/after the treatment.
To add insult to injury, after 4 sessions, I've only seen maybe a 50% reduction in my hair. It is growing slower, which is nice, but I personally don't think her follow up to previous treatments is adequate to adjust the laser to a level that drives results.
What really ticks me off is the response time. On April 28th, I left a message in the AM because I thought I had an appointment. Unfortunately, I had damaged my phone the week prior and anything that wasn't synced to my iCal was lost. I left a cordial message requesting an appointment reminder (because no one will ever actually answer the phone if you call so you have to leave a message). No one has called me back to date. I understand that if I forget an appointment I lose it. I'm cool with that, but to forfeit my last remaining appointment as well because they don't want to call me back is, well, just plain bad business. On the other hand, it doesn't look like they want my business anyways, so the feeling must be mutual. Going forward, I will wait for another groupon from a more reputable business to continue...
