Pros- We booked a black light party, the staff members who worked the party were incredibly nice and patient, and drew the canvases for the kids to paint on which all came out really cute.
Cons- I don’t feel this was advertised correctly, the bounce house looked more like a Walmart bounce house for toddlers. Only 3 kids could be on it at a time due to the size, and kids closer to 9-10 years old are too big for it (it started to topple over at one point), this was a deciding factor for me to choose this venue over Spacewalk. It was set up inside in the back corner of the room, it really seemed like an unsafe area for an open “bounce house” where kids were incredibly close to the wall on two sides. The face painting seemed like a quick job, the kids didn’t have individual paintings they all had the same design painted on their foreheads, not really sure what the design was. The black light portion itself was all of maybe 5 minutes just to showcase the glow in the dark speckles some kids added to their canvases. The chair covers at the tables used for seating looked really dirty, some had crumbs, hair, and just appeared overall like they hadn’t been washed in awhile. Overall for the price and additional $35 reservation fee that doesn’t apply to the overall cost, I would say this was a one time try for our family. This type of party may be more appropriate for older youth/adults not...
Read moreHad my son's 8th birthday there. We did the black light party. It was okay. The kids enjoyed it. I was told that they supplied paper goods, but the staff was surprised by my request for them. After a short search, they found them. That was a little uncomfortable. I assume now that most people bring their own. I was also under the impression that the $35 registration fee would come out of the $199 total. It does not. It is in addition to, which is not terrible, but it did surprise me and made me feel icky when told at the end of the party. I informed the owner that it was unclear on the website, and she disagreed. No biggie, but... just so you know... It isn't a bad venue for kids. My son's only complaint was that the speakers weren't working right and he wasn''t able to get his friends on board for the dance party at the end. That was the part he was most looking forward to. Overall my son...
Read moreFirst I want to thank you for such a wonderful three weeks! Ben learned a lot of new techniques. He was pushed when needed while having your gentle encouragement along the way. He was so proud of his artwork and the few times he was frustrated he was able to fine creative solutions. Often our virtual camp hour would inspire creativity and projects throughout the rest of the day. Ben especially loved the lessons about positive/negative space, shadings and definition, learning how to draw gnomes, dragons, fairies, unicorns, mushrooms, and flowers. He especially loved the marbled shaving cream lesson and getting messy is always fun! I would like to thank you and your assistance for her not only handling a live class but also virtual students as well. I am very impressed with the attention we were receiving even though we were not...
