Ranch Camp is easily one of my new favorite restaurants in all of Vermont! This place is so good!! We visited here for the first time for lunch and WOW, the atmosphere was awesome, food was exceptional, and prices were super reasonable!! The whole place is bike-themed, and there are tons of cool paintings and other artwork with mountain bikes! The have a bike shop attached to the restaurant - you can rent mountain bikes here! There is indoor and outdoor seating, and even a chair lift you can sit on outside!!
Almost EVERY food item can be made gluten-free (probably the best gluten-free options anywhere in Vermont) so we got the Shredded Beef Crunchwrap and the Percyrrito Burrito, with the Fried ‘Chokes as our appetizer! So freaking good! The fried artichokes were BY FAR the best I’ve ever had - didn’t even taste like artichokes! I’m never someone to willingly order a vegetable dish like this, and I am literally craving it right now. They had this tempura batter with it and such an amazing sauce. Definitely going to get that appetizer every time.
The Percyrrito Burrito was the BEST burrito I have ever had!! Such good flavorful braised pork, apple, guacamole, rice, pico de gallo, VT cheddar and maple roja sauce?! Are you kidding me?! So good!! Definitely try this!!! And if they have the crunchwrap (it was a special, so might not be there every day) you NEED to try it. It takes the Taco Bell crunchwrap to a whole new level. One of the best Mexican-style foods I’ve had in a long time. It literally had crunchy cheese on the outside!!! That’s what a crunchwrap is supposed to be - they hit the nail on the head with that one! We are going to return very soon because this is a hidden gem in Stowe!!!
EDIT: We just recently returned and had another amazing meal. We are so, so happy with this place. Ranch Camp is easily one of the best restaurants in Stowe, and this whole part of Vermont!
EDIT #2: Continually impressed by this place - we have gone a billion times by this point. One of our new favorite items is the buffalo cauliflower! I love this...
Read moreI didn't see this for a while and never got around to amending my initial review. The co-owner reached out awhile ago and informed me that I was not being charged for the rental. I appreciated his quick response and resolution to this one bad experience.
I will be up there soon to enjoy the food and trails again.
Thanks Ranch Camp and specifically...
Read moreCame for the burrito, stayed for the nachos. The two of us order a plate of nachos, a pork burrito and chicken tenders. We were originally sitting outside but the lack of lighting and the multitude of mosquitoes forced us inside. Though it didn't really do much; there were gaps in between the window sill and the mesh, causing us to be constantly swatting away mosquitoes, fruit flies, and no-see-ums. Social distancing was fine when no one was in, but once it picked up there were certainly strangers sitting closer than I would think for comfort. My burrito and their chicken tenders come out, but no nachos. I was informed afterward that our nachos weren't on the ticket, when I said nachos to start. Person I was with said the fries were on the verge of being over seasoned, but no complaints on the chicken tenders. I peel the foil back on my burrito and the paper and the foil is sticking to it! I end up ripping a hole in the burrito trying to get the paper and foil off. In the meantime, extremely hot meat juices are dripping onto my hand. I remove the foil entirely, and between the paper and foil removal and the juices soaking the burrito, the whole thing just fell apart. I tried to eat it, but the filling was bland, the shell was like sucking up a wet noodle, and my hands were drowning. Gross. The nachos are enough food for two people for dinner, four to six for a hearty starter. The problem burrito was almost a blessing in disguise because I tucked into those nachos and walked out feeling agressively full and I ate maybe a third at best. Toppings layered throughout. Every chip has something on it. Still had a problem with soggy bottoms because the bottom chips were closer to corn tortillas than a crispy chip. Tl;dr: I don't recommend the burritos but the...
