Burlington has nice deals on brand name items so no one can argue that. They have clothing names there too that have gotten harder to find like Ecko. BUT...
I find myself almost dreading to go due to the long lines. This happens though at every Burlington store I have been to. I have changed my mind on making a purchase due to the long lines before. Burlington has upgraded their checkout areas which is nice but (another one lol) the lines are too long. I am thinking that maybe if the workers actually looked like they were trying to get you out the door faster that it wouldn't be so bad. At store I have worked in the past they wanted you to move. Get the customers out faster.
As you are in line you can see signs. You don't see the type of bodily movement that you see when a human is rushing. The workers always take too much time with the clothing. Scan it then fold it then struggle to get it into a bag, if you ask for one. I prefer to have my stuff throw in if it means getting out faster. I can deal with the possible wrinkles later. Or do a quick fold/toss. Does not have to be perfect folding shirts the military way all the time. Alot of time waiting in line is watching the workers fold clothes.
Then.... you find of the workers will take 'breaks' while there is a long line. I am referring to some that you can tell are obviously just wasting time & not actually taking a break. Doing things like walk away to talk to another worker about something supposedly store related or stepping away to do something else just to look busy. Or look like something else they decide to is important. It is very easy to pick up on real work verses the opposite.
I have seen worker know there's a long line & leave anyways. People in line are waiting so when you do that they watch. I have seen workers leave to go out in the aisles and do stuff out there..... while there is a huge line?
If they are taking a real break sure I get it. The lines are probably always long. The stores many times do not allocate enough registers during the 'slow hours'. They should just have all or some of the workers on the floor with tils just in case lines do get busy. They can always stop what they doing & help out then shoot back. Like you see at most stores. Something I don't see happening alot at Burlington. I assume they do that also... so I am leaning towards employee response is to blame. They should be drilled to check the line while they work. It's a big store so have make make that PA call for help when the line gets long. Something I hardly hear (or notice hearing) when going to any Burlington. I have seen them make that call but many times it takes awhile for help to come....lol. It's easy to tell which workers don't like the registers. Anyways... just something to...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSLIGHT UPDATE AS OF 8/27/22: The Makeup and Skincare Section shrunk down a lot! There's actually more Skincare than Makeup, and if you want any Makeup, good luck because it's still horribly messy, practically everything's been opened, ruined, items stolen, etc. I was LUCKY to find an untouched Wet n' Wild Palette. It's basically like finding a needle in a haystack. Browsing around the rest of the Store, it's the same idea, hidden gems, items and clothes jammed together, not very organized or clean. I managed to find a Bed in the Bag! Unfortunately, comparing this Visit to when I last Reviewed years ago and was a constant shopper, I'm going to take off 1ā and say that it's now 3.5ā's rather than 4.5ā's. They have great affordable items such as Purses, Skincare galore that's high-end but low pricing, Makeup, Home Goods, Clothing, Jackets and more! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because when you go to the Skin Care & Makeup Section, you have to make sure you check the Products because a lot of them have been opened, destroyed, or have missing items. It can be...
