Came to exchange something at 10:30 on a Sunday. Google and Express website says the store opens at 10am. Temporary sign out front says they open at 11am daily due to low staff. Understandable but the website should reflect their actual hours.
I contacted customer service online chat to save others the same inconvenience and was asked for screenshots of Google hours and a picture of the temporary sign out front. She then tells me can't help me with in-store issues and cannot even relay the request to get the hours updated. Why did she ask for the pictures and details then? Seriously terrible customer service, Marj.
Called customer service phone number and waited 20 minutes on hold. Talked to a nice girl named Genesis who said she'll get it fixed and offered a gift card but only if I were a loyalty member (I'm not). Definitely not interested in signing up now. Not the way to build loyalty, Express.
Update: 12:15pm and they're still not open. 3 other people waiting to get in the store. I'll be back another day to return everything that I bought in the last 60 days. I also never received an email with my case number...oh well.
Update 1 week later: I saw the "auto-response" from the "owner" to contact them which I did (same number I had called previously) and they had no context about the response to my review of course, because they just told me to call the normal customer service number. They opened a new case and I guess "corporate" will be in contact? Seems silly, just update the hours online! Stop wasting people's time.
Update 1 month later: Nobody called me but I just checked and they finally updated their hours. Increasing my review by 2 stars...if this customer service experience wasn't so painful...
