Sherry's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Sturgeon Bay

I was in town from Mississippi visiting family. Today was the last day of our trip so we decided to go shopping downtown. I always loved the Hallmark store but today left a bitter taste. A local woman walked past me as I was looking at the jewelry and told the man working behind the counter: “I can’t believe you aren’t requiring all these tourist to be wearing a mask. I am a local and all of THESE PEOPLE are going to get me sick”. The man behind the counter looked at her and said “I know right”. There was no sign posted to wear a mask. I have in every other store we have been in today. But I am not going to wear one if I am not required. The few minutes I stayed in the store he kept starring me down making me feel so uncomfortable. I was so upset I left. I didn’t even make it 5ft in the store. So...

Adorable store. Quite the throw back to the late 90s early 2000s. They even had new beanie babies. Store is a little cluttered. The store and collection of items 4 stars.

But I have to greatly reduce the rating because when checking out downstairs the lady behind the register told me about her Halloween set up at home. Then went on a tangent about how much she hated kids. Ending how she told her nephew she was going to k!ll him if he touched her stuff, then throw him in the yard for her dogs to eat, and use his skeleton as decoration for the next Halloween. This was incredibly disturbing and I don't think I'd go back due to this interaction. Do not take children...
