Today I visited the Sunset Valley location in Austin, TX. I wanted to utilize the buy one get one 50% off coupon. Online I could order the shoes I wanted and the coupon was automatically applied and I could pick my shoes in 4 hours if I wanted. However I wanted to just buy the shoes in store quickly. I was told by the manager Aleika Carter that she would NOT apply the 50% off coupon because their store specifically did not honor that even though online it says all stores unless in CANADA. I showed her on my phone where I could order for pick up in four hours and pay online and that online it would honor the coupon. She still refused to honor this. I am EXTREMELY frustrated in that even though online it will honor it. She was extremely rude to me and I have NEVER had such a horrible experience with DSW. I will not being returning to this location again because of the horrible service I received and I will be trying to take more action to shed light on this “selective couponing” that this location decides to do. I will be posting my review on yelp, google reviews and reporting to the BBB. After visiting this location I have seen online on google reviews that I am not the only person who has experienced this at this location. If there is anything you can do to make this correct I would love to know. You just lost a happy, long term customer because I went right across the street to Kohl’s and got the shoes I wanted at an even better price. This is horrible customer service from a MANAGER. If this is how leaders of your company act and treat customers I don’t want...
Read moreI usually shop online for everything but I like to stop in occasionally to buy shoes in person, quickly and to support brick and mortar stores vs Amazon. Today was my first trip to DSW with a baby. I had my stroller but left in vehicle because i had hopped they would have baskets but they didn’t. The cashier Etelle (wrong spelling I’m sure) was not friendly at all. I asked if I could use a discount code on my phone, she scanned it and didn’t even tell me it didn’t apply. I asked oh did it not take 20% off and she then went on to explain it probably is the brands- which I even brought up before scanning. What is frustrating is I asked about the code, she didn’t give feedback that it didn’t apply. I had to ask. She just had bad customer service. When I asked if they had shopping bags (carrying a 25lb baby on my hip) she pretentiously says, “we’re bag less”. Not that I’d usually care, but “sorry we’re bag less OR oh no I’m sorry, do you need help out?” It was just a bad customer service experience. I’d say I’m not coming back but the turnover rate at this store is so high, I doubt I’ll see her again. This just pushes me back to shopping...
Read moreI purchased shoes online with the 25% off promo.. unfortunately one pair did not fit .. no biggie. I went in-store to exchange them for a correct size, so I could get the same promotion. ONE HOUR LATER. Literally spent one HOUR talking to managers, employees, etc And I am left with no shoes! No discount! Don’t even know if the refund went through! Two frozen cards! And a huge headache. My bank said DSW charged me over ten different times! (All under different amounts?) After switching from register to register and trying multiple cards, “the system just wouldn’t work.” I was patient at first, but really??? Like come on. Was I refunded at all ? No. Was I refunded for my wasted time? No. I was told that “they weren’t allowed to give me a promo for 25% off nor were they allowed to give me a gift card for my lost money.” I was told I could drive back and try again. HA.
Employees don’t know what the hell is going on or how to fix it. Will not be back. Currently about to waste more of my time on the phone with...
