So I never leave reviews but the way I was treated the other day was humiliating and went against all my constitutional rights and I'm so upset it took me 2 days to calm down enough to write this. Long story short I have recently gained some weight so it's time to go get new clothes. Not really sure what size I am anymore and nothing quite looks right because I am uncomfortable in my own skin right now, so I tried on clothes for a couple hours and just couldn't find anything. I made sure to hang up all the clothes I tried on and walked out the front door to be greated by the police. I'm immediately put into handcuffs and thrown in the back of a really hot cop car with no air conditioning on. I'm then read the riot act that loss prevention saw me stealing!!! I immediately to clear my name granted the police to search my purse and my person, they of course found nothing belonging to their store at all!! I was then told that they were going to watch the tapes because the woman claimed I had been stealing. Once again the cameras saw nothing of the sort. I am not on probation. I'm not a felon so this was really scary for me that this could just happen to me during a trip to Kohl's! So by now everyone is looking like they didn't know what to do so no apology or anything after finally being let out of the death trap of a back seat covered in sweat, I was actually given a criminal trespass notice that if I returned I would be arrested!!!! I'm sure!!! I feel violated in every way a person can by this! I urge you to use caution shopping here so this or something worse happens to you or God forbid your children!!! This was terrifying. Still shaking writing...
Read moreI was so disappointed with Kohlâs during my trip here over the weekend. I came here because of a clearance sale going on and found some things but when I got to check out, the employee was incredibly rude.
I checked out with Lorena and at first there wasnât a problem but when she scanned some shoes I selected I let her know that they were suppose to be on sale and she told me they werenât. When I explained to her the signage that showed it she just repeated herself to me several times and then turned her screen around to show me the price while saying it again to me. I ran back and found the signage showing that it was on sale but when I came back to show her she just kept telling me the same thing over and over while once again showing me her screen like I could understand her.
I told her the shoes arenât worth the normal price and I wonât be purchasing them and finished my transaction. I thought that was the end of it but afterwards my wife had check out with Lorena and the whole time she was rude and short with her, scanning my wifeâs items and then slamming them on the counter, mumbling things under her breath that I couldnât make out. It was ridiculous.
Kohlâs, you can do better than that, there are two other locations here in Austin that I plan on making my way to so I can avoid Lorena, that was seriously so uncalled. She should be embarrassed at behaving like a child at her job, treating me like I couldnât understand her while trying to show her signage that showed otherwise. She acted like she couldnât be bothered so now I will gladly...
Read moreSummary: very clean, very affordable, very empty, very babyboomer.
The details: my wife and I visited on a Wednesday around 3pm. Upon arrival we noticed the parking lot sparsely covered in cars. Once we entered the Kohl's, it became clear as to why. There were very few people in the store. The store was clean, well stocked and had plenty of employees on hand to help out should you need it. Of the folks that were there shopping, a majority seemed to be babyboomer clearance seekers. Of those at least 2 held up the very short register lines when it was time to check out with our items. One lady had some issue with a return item and the other was debating the price of the item with the clerk. A third salesperson saw this fiasco and helped the next person in line over at the jewelry counter. I like Kohl's as they have good deals and interesting inventory however I find retail shopping to be a PIA more often than not. This isn't Kohl's fault, it's my own in that I'm too impatient now given the opportunity to shop online for same day or next day delivery items from online vendors. It appears that Kohl's is trying to have a unique advantage by offering so many clearance areas, but I'd argue that this might be attracting the wrong type of shopper given the quality of their inventory. Will I be back? probably. Will Kohl's still be there as a brick and mortar? My gut tells me no, but I've been...
