Ivoryology Bridal — Local services in Tacoma

Went here to get the experience of trying on fancy dresses and get an idea of what style I was looking for. I was definitely planning on getting a cheaper dress, but I completely fell in love with one at Ivoryology!

I would highly recommend this store to people. The shop itself is very charming and lovely. Comfortable seats and great little areas to try on dresses. The set prices of the dresses is nice because it makes it really easy to budget going in if this is the price range you are looking for. I thought they had a great selection of dresses to choose from, I got to try on a lot of different styles. Myself and a friend of mine both found dream dresses here!

The one downside that I saw mentioned in other reviews is the fact that the store doesn't do holds on the dresses which does add some time pressure to making a decision. I waited about a week and a half before buying the dress and they were very good about communicating with me. It did work out okay, but that did add some stress to the decision making.

The biggest thing I wanted to note was the staff at the store. They were really wonderful! Everyone was very helpful and communicative and friendly. I worked with Tia while I was there are she was AWESOME! Really excited to hear about the wedding details and overall just very happy and excited for me. She was great during the fitting. She did a wonderful job reading my reactions to the dresses and giving very kind and thoughtful feedback, dealing with my indecisiveness and uncertainty, and noting my energy/overwhelmedness levels as the appointment went on. She put zero pressure on me to buy a dress that day or even from that store which I was worried might happen when I was trying on dresses. She was also really great communicating with me personally outside of the appointment via text, email, and instagram. When there was a mixup with my credit card she worked incredibly hard to get it sorted out and even offered to come in on a day off to pick up the dress! Tia was amazing!! My dress shopping experience was better than I ever could have imagined! Tia was great about picking out dresses that fit my style, ensuring she listened to what I did and didn't like. It is not easy making decisions and she was always there to help however she was able to. She went above and beyond to get me my dream dress when she did not have to stay late or come in on her day off. The shop is beautiful and adds to the experience of dress shopping. I appreciated all dresses were the same price so there was no concern about going out of budget. Tia truly wanted the best for me and I am so grateful for her! I can't say enough great things about Tia. She provided the most amazing experience for my daughter. First bridal appointment and she was in great hands with Tia. She gave us the opportunity to help pull dresses. My daughter looked beautiful in everything, we got it narrowed it down to two dresses. A decision was made and Tia explained there was a 14 day exchange. Relieving any stress or worry about finding the right dress. After the dress was home, something wasn't quite right. I contacted Tia and she got my daughter worked in to re-shop. The other dress was still available and one that Tia had pulled from the back knowing my daughter would like it. Confirmed the dress she came back for was it! To hear my daughter describe it as her "dream dress" is everything I hoped for her. Tia was so understanding and took in every detail of concern and want for the dress. It is a wonderful concept for the store to have all dresses at same price point and the exchange policy. I recently bought my dream wedding dress from here. My experience from start to finish was better than anything I could've hoped for. I booked my appointment online and received a confirmation right away as well as a link for a "wedding registration form". The form was thorough, and really gave my stylist a heads up for the kind of wedding dress I was looking for. In the days leading up to my appointment I received texts from my stylist asking if I had any questions, and how my wedding planning was going. Parking was pretty quick to find, but my stylist informed me ahead of time that there is construction going on in the area, and advised me of a few different parking spots. Upon arrival at the shop, my party and I felt welcomed right off the bat. All the workers were friendly and attentive. We were offered water and shown where the bathrooms were as well. My stylist for the day was AJ, and they really made my wedding dress shopping a breeze. AJ listened to all the ideas I had for my wedding dress, and even surprised me with a few dresses I would've never picked for myself but I loved. AJ was polite and friendly, and really took the time to get to know me and my wedding party. AJ was thorough in explaining how wedding dress sizes vary, and gave great suggestions for veils. After completing my purchase, I was given a list of recommended places to take my dress to get altered. I even received a follow up message from my stylist wishing me and my fiance the best.
