Stopped in here with my elderly parents after a long day, expecting a good meal based on the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, it was a huge mistake.
The restaurant wasn’t busy inside, but the entire outdoor patio was reserved. My father, trying to be helpful while I was still on my way, went to order for us. It’s fast-casual, so you order at the counter. The staff told him that because a private party had “a bunch of pizza coming,” whole pies wouldn’t be ready for over an hour. They suggested we order by the slice if we wanted food sooner.
Wanting to make sure everyone got something, my elderly father ordered 1–2 slices of three different types of pizza. We ended up ordering 4 more slices later. It took over an hour and an half anyway for the original 5 slices. In the end, we effectively bought an entire pizza—slice by slice—paying far more than the price of a whole pie, which he wanted to order originally and waiting just as long as if we had ordered one. My poor exhausted elderly father was so embarrassed when he finally escaped the cacophony and realized he had purchased an entire pizza by the slice. I truly believe the staff took advantage of a senior who trusted their guidance.
The “private party” was a loud group of drunk guests. The brick-and-concrete interior made their shouting annoying but bearable, they were at least outside. However, some of them wandered inside and stood over our table, scream-talking to each other. We thought they were in line to order—as our table was right in front of the register—but they weren’t. Staff, including the manager, clearly saw this happening and did nothing. When we finally realized no one was in line, we left just to escape the chaos.
The manager or someone did mumble an apology as we were leaving and said “it would be different next time.” But there won’t be a next time. Between the misleading service, outrageous pricing by the slice, unbearable noise, and total lack of customer care, I would never recommend this place—especially if you’re bringing older family members or expect a casual dining experience.
That said their pizza was really good. I just hated eating there and never want anyone to go through this again. I would recommend getting pizza to go and being ready for it to take a...
Read moreI really want to like this place like I used to, but I feel like it's gone down hill in so many aspects over the last couple years.
The beer has always been decent - nothing crazy or experimental, just solid good beer; and the price point, is slightly on the higher side. So food was our main reason to go. But recently I've had undercooked pizza - which seems really hard with thin crust - and generally lackluster toppings both in quality and quantity compared to what they used to be. I can recall the wild mushrooms in particular - which granted, I can see supply issue with. But, pair thar with some really bad service experiences and I can't say I'll be recommending them unless you just happen to already be in the area.
Most recently we were there a full hour before closing, 8:00 close and we walked in at 7:02, I walk up and order 2 fancy veg and 2 fancy meat. Our friends come behind us and order 3 pepperoni. A minute later the bartender/server comes over and tells me they're out of fancy meat so I can get pepperoni or veg. I get the pepperoni - it's a $1 difference, but I'm not tripping on a buck. Well, that didn't account for the pepperoni my friends ordered, so now they're out of that as well and will have to make a new one just to cover their order. Our next friends in line go to order and are told they're not making sandwiches and a whole pizza would take 40 minutes - despite having only 3 other customers and nothing going on in the kitchen but early cleaning. By that point it's 7:10, so it felt like a d*ck move to order a pizza that won't be on the table until 10 minutes before closing. So, we just split up the slices we did manage to get. Now we're trying to just enjoy our beer, and the staff starts putting up chairs and clearing tables 30 minutes before close, then opens wide the door 3' from our table to let in the warm 41 degree air. So, needless to say, we didn't feel too welcome.
I give them 5 stars......
Read more2 years ago I would have told you. This was the best pizza that you would have tasted in your life. I have now had the last 3 orders. Disappoint me. I will talk about this last order. I made through Uber which I probably will never do it ever again. I. Ordered a almost $50 pizza to which what I received. I cannot even explain the crust of the pizza is like cheese. You can't even pick the pizza up. I've tried to reheat the pizza rebake the pizza I've tried to. Put it in the air fryer and the crust will not crust. It is just a gooey mess. I don't know what has happened to their recipe but something has definitely changed. I used to love the quest. Now the pizza is just saggy. I had to only eat cheese in the little meat. That was on the pizza because the crust. Was too gooey for me to eat and it didn't matter how many times I tried to reheat it and put it in the oven for whatever odd reason, it would not get hard. I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to just drink the pizza. But I will not be ordering from this place ever again. I spent too much money these last 3 × 2 get pizza. That's not pizza. Something has changed and I'm not really sure what it is.I don't know if it's ownership.I don't know if it's the cook's.I don't know if it's the recipe.I don't know if it's ingredients.Something has changed and it is not the same quality as it used to be.And I work too hard to be throwing my money away for something that i'm...
