I am reluctant to write this review as Iām sure many will blame the aftercare on my part. Yet from my perspective I followed the aftercare that was explained. Sadly, my nose piercing only lasted two days.
My initial experience at TBP was lovely. I booked the incorrect timeslot and Jessica fit me in with Bunny. Bunny was very kind and explained to me the process of getting my nostril pierced. I was nervous, especially being older than many of the teens in the waiting room. I asked about blowing my nose and Bunny showed me how to do it. Piercing hurt less than expected and I was thrilled when I left.
First day home I was swollen and cleaned as instructed. I blew my nose as Bunny showed me and my nose swelled and began to bleed a lot. I cleaned with the saline and water in the shower⦠nothing would budge the blood that crusted. You could not even see my jewelry with the blood crust and swelling. I booked a trouble shoot appointment the next day.
Jessica was the person whom my troubleshoot appointment was with. I felt she did not handle the situation well and I am unhappy with my experience. She was very defensive about how she had never seen something this bad before and kept explaining her situation. I told her I was scared and didnāt know what to do, she froze a lot and looked frightened of my situation which exacerbated my upset. I kept asking her what I should do and she was evasive. We decided to take it out in hopes to clean the piercing and put it back in⦠all of this hurt excessively and I was crying a lot. She again was defensive in an attempt to not be blamed and I felt hurt at her lack of compassion for my pain and sadness that the piercing wasnāt working. She put a wood plug in while attempting to clean my jewelry and my god that hurt. I kept bleeding and it was getting everywhere and Jessica just kept saying this has never happened before over and over⦠rather than comfort the person bleeding and in a lot of pain.
Iām in my 40s, I have birthed two children and that pain was up there. I was crying and crying and told her to just leave it out and I left in silence. She didnāt say anything to me, she did not comfort me, she was stoic and rather mean from my perspective. I thought she would say sorry, or tell me I could pierce it again sometime. She acted more scared she would be blamed rather than my pain or sadness.
I wasted $200 and felt a lot of pain. Wish I had gone somewhere else or had a different person for my troubleshoot appointment, curious if I would still have my piercing if I had someone else⦠without the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI researched quite a lot before choosing a shop to get my piercings re-done. My previous experience was not great, and though I desperately wanted them again, I had trepidations. The first time I had my piercings done it was very quick, but not very well done. They were crooked and painful for months afterwards. What really drew me to TBP was the fact that they were the only one I found that were members of the Association of Professional Piercers and were clear about what they offered, what their standards are, and provided a ton of up-front information. As a treat to myself for a promotion, I made my appointment. First, traffic kept me from arriving on time, so I would have totally understood if I had to reschedule, but they were able to accommodate me. Jessica talked to me about my piercings, what I wanted, and my experience with them. She made me feel comfortable and like I was in good hands. I mentioned that I have sensitivities to metal and was concerned that it would be an issue like my first set. Jessica explained they use nothing less than implant grade titanium and that the number of people that have issues with it is very small. It made me feel more confident in the my choice. They have a wide selection of jewelry, and it was shockingly hard to choose just one set. She took the time to make sure the markings were lined up and looked good, ensuring she had me review before she ever touched me with the needle. The room was spacious, clean, and obviously well taken care of. The autoclave in the corner sanitized everything, even though everything was new for my visit. Jessica took the time to really do a wonderful and thorough job. She made sure to check in with me as she was doing the piercings to be sure I was handling any pain okay. When we were finished, I was immediately in love with them. They were everything I was hoping for. She went over the after-piercing care instructions, and the after-piercing spray was included in the cost of my piercings. What I'm most excited about is how different I feel post-piercing than I did the first time. I can already tell they're starting to heal up, there's very little discharge, and they look amazing. I would recommend TBP to anyone. And I'm already thinking about what I can pierce next to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I went into to the studio in march and wanted to get the other side of my nose pierced and my septum. I seen a guy, I forgot his name but he had a lot of piercings and tattoos. I paid around $300 and assumed going to a piercing place I would be in good hands. I told them I was moving out of state at the end of March due to my husband being military. A few days after getting my nose pierced I noticed it was uneven with my other nostril piercing but was told it was due to the swelling. I also kept getting these annoying bumps. I was told they are irritation bumps and will go away which they did but kept returning after tiny taps to the piercing like literally me sneezing and my hand tapping it to cover my nose. So fast forward to me in my new state I decided to go to another piercing place to have them look at the Piercing since going back tacoma piercing wasn't an option. The piercer looked at it and said whoever pierced it pierced it at a awkward angle so it's going through more cartilage and she don't know how long it will take to heal from that After the swelling went down I'm left with still a Crooked nose ring vs the other side. I just called and spoke to someone in charge which Carly was her name and said she's in charge. All she could say is that if I'm ever back in wa which I live all the way in NC she could look at it or pierce at half price. Lol half price if you messed up shouldn't it be free of charge? Then she kept asking me to send a picture of my piercing to see the angle it was pierced at. Ok but he pierced it at an angle and it's far in the back of my nose. The only way you would be able to tell the angle is putting the piercing in yourself. I'm not looking to scam or lie to scam. They pierced my septum and it turned out amazing, but now I'm left with either leaving the piercing in and hoping it eventually heals without getting bumps every day and it still looking uneven or take it out and pray someone else can fix it without having future issues because of this one. Also I didn't appreciate Carly acting like it's no big deal like I bought the wrong shirt. This is my skin and on my face! All places can do good piercings and all can do bad ones. Just take precautions and hopefully you have better...
