Alex, in the handbags department on 12/01/2018 went above and beyond her job duty to help me pick out the perfect Brahmin hand bag for my mother 60th birthday gift. They didn't have the purse on the sales floor that I wanted and she assured me that they had it on a green cart that just came in. She went to check for me and lord and behold they had it in the color I wanted. She also looked for the matching wallet but they didn't have it but she checked again to see what was available. She came back with two different items one credit card holder and coin pouch. She also looked for another brahmin wallet for me that I inquired about but unfortunately they have been discontinued. I will say she helped me for about a hour and not once did she give me attitude like most retail workers do. She gave me her undivided attention and did her best job to help me out. I didn't feel rushed with Alex and the entire time Alex helped me she had the most genuine smile on her face. Great job Alex for all you done to make my mother 60th birthday present the best!!!! After an Incident where an older lady was injured - and a number of incidents with the local management, along with broken escalators and elevators, and the fact that they raised their prices again.
I no longer shop at Dillards. I advised my friends to no longer shop there too.
I was a long time customer and even had Dillards Credit Card for 10+ years.
I thank Dillards Employees - many of whom are gone now for the years of assistance. I am sorry conditions in the store and the management have declined.
Macy's and Belks were more than happy to see me and gave me a Credit Card too.

Today in the Polo section they had new Fall Line coming in and Spring Summer items on sale. I grabbed a Polo Bear Tshirt and liked it so much I changed to it before I left the Store. The employees are friendly and know their products. One of the Dillards employees helped me size the TeeShirt by by holding it up to my back. Despite witnessing another customer receive prompt attention and assistance, I found myself waiting without any resolution to my inquiries. Ultimately, I left the department store empty-handed and disheartened by the apparent lack of interest from the staff in assisting me with my needs. The closure of Macy's in Tallahassee has left me longing for a reliable alternative, but unfortunately, Dillard's failed to meet my expectations. However, amidst the disappointment, I did take notice of Dillard's impressive purse collection, which stood out to me as a potential area of interest in the future.
