Gardner-White is pathetic. If you want quality furniture don't buy from them. Also, the extended 4-year warranty is nothing but a "con job"! I bought two Rylan Grey rocker recliners (see photos). After close to a year or so, one showed a seam tear and the other showed premature pilling and thinning of the fabric on the footrest to the point you could see the padding underneath. I called to avail myself of the extended warranty and they sent out a service tech who informed me that it was "normal wear-and-tear." Really? After no more than a year of (non-abusive) use? I was also told by him that the extended warranty would not cover it, even if it is due to poor quality, defective fabric. I also was told by the tech that if I'd sat on it with a sharp object in my pocket that punctured the fabric, it would have been covered by the extended warranty, but not due to the premature wearing observed that they (Gardner-White) considers to be "normal wear-and-tear." So, should I have just stuck a screwdriver in my pocket and sat on it and punched a hole in the fabric to get my extended warranty to do something? Made no sense! The tech was nice enough to "good-will" sew the seam up on one of the chairs with NO promise it would hold. Now, several months later, the seam has reopened and is a few inches wider than it was before and the other rocker with the premature worn-out fabric on the footrest has practically worn completely through to develop a sizeable hole. All this has happened to furniture less than two years old and should still look and be in good shape. I looked on their website and interestingly enough now you can't find this brand and model of rocker-recliner (gee... I wonder why?). This place is a joke and sells useless extended warranties to go along with their useless, defective junk they have the gall to a call "furniture." These recliners I purchased less than two years ago now look worse than the 10+ year old recliners I had purchased from La-Z-Boy did at the time they were pitched and replaced with these pieces of Gardner-White junk! Do yourself a favor and go with a higher quality furniture store than what Gardner-White has become. I know we're going to shop elsewhere for quality furniture, not at this...

She said your order for the 2 full size mattresses were canceled and your representative wrote this up incorrectly. I paid $635.98 for two queen mattresses I did not ask for! Included a screenshot of me specifically asking for full mattresses.
Absolutely horrible. All they care about is making a sale. I purchased 2 full size bedroom sets and also ordered 2 full size mattresses to go with them. I received the mattresses in the box and did not open at the time because I was in the process of moving. Opened the beds and they were both queen size mattresses. I called to tell them they were too big, they stated a representative needed to verify this. So a representative came out and measured them and informed me they were queen size mattresses. Later on I was told corporate WILL NOT exchange the mattresses because they were in the home longer than 10 days. I understood, so I asked if I COULD PAY to upgrade to a queen size bed frame and headboard. I was denied that option as well. NOT TO MENTION, the low profile box spring I purchased because my sales rep Todd told me to. I was told to do this due to me purchasing a bookshelf headboard, long story short the Hayfield line is discontinued and I will not receive the bed and nightstand. The store also will not return the box spring even though I have no use for it now.
All they want is a sale. They did not try to accommodate me in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. They do not advocate for their customers with their corporate office. I spent a lot of money in this store and furnished my entire home and they did not even try to come up with ways to accommodate...
Read moreI placed an order for about 10k worth of furniture. I did not sign the sheet that says I was taking anything with me because I was not completely sold on the sale. It was kind of a sporadic buy since I had just finished my cancer treatments. Reality and panic hit me 2 days later and I cancelled the order. This is where the nightmare begins. It took me talking to delivery 4 times to get them to finally not schedule my delivery. I called to talk to my salesperson to cancel the entire order and she was not available via phone. I then proceeded to email her. She responded and the order was cancelled. I then received my statement and I was still being charged for the mattress protector that I did not take with me. I then sent another email to my salesperson and she responded that she would look into it. The next day she responded that she would have customer service handle the return. I have the emails. I have yet to receive a return and it has been over a year. Customer service has been called a dozen times. Supposedly, Alicia is checking into it and no one else can help me but Alicia who is never ever available to come to the phone. I was always told that they would give her the message and she would call me back. I have since turned in 3 disputes along with all the email copies to synchrony bank and they still refuse to cancel my card. What started as a $190 amount is now over $500 and my credit has taken a hit. I have asked the store for a copy of the form that you fill out when placing your order to show that I did not initial taking the mattress pad. I have yet to get a copy. Very, very bad service. If I buy something, I pay for it. This all just stresses me out to no end. Bad customer service. I would have purchased my furniture from them but I will no longer do business with a...
