Motif Jewelers — Local services in Taylor

I am indecisive and an engineer, probably the two worst things to have as a customer. This shop is probably the most reasonable around as long as you are also reasonable. I've learned 3 things 1.) You can't walk into a jewelers expecting to pay scrap gold prices and sit there dividing the price/weight of each piece -you won't be happy. The true value is a ratio of materials plus the craftsmanship, of which you will not find better in our area than Motif. If you find somewhere selling jewelry at scrap price your wife probably won't wear it so whats the point. 2.) Ask questions, learn, and listen. Everyone I've worked with has been great and willing to help. 3.) If you go look elsewhere you'll probably end up back at Motif.

In the end I've purchased multiple bracelets for my wife here, I ALWAYS compare the tcw, grams of gold vs cost to other shops even a year after purchase. Sure you can probably get more materials for the money but it WON'T be better jewelry. The quality and style is worth it to me, we buy this stuff to wear not to sit in the safe. Which leads me to the end of this review. The people at Motif stand behind their work and have always been transparent with me. I have never had a single issue with any of their jewelry and I am sure if I did they would back it.

I have a ring that my fiancé purchased from them 12 years ago…I wanted to start wearing it again. So I took it in to have the size “bumps” taken off, of course the warranty was up because it’s been forever. But the jeweler ended up taking them off and even polished it for me, for free. Then after it was fixed, it still didn’t fit lol, so I needed it resized. My finger wasn’t as slim as it was back then 😅 Anyways, I left it there, and they were going to talk to the jeweler and call me with the exact price that it was going to be, to make it larger…I was only given an estimate. But we have new numbers and I messed up a digit ugh lol 🤦🏻‍♀️. So I didn’t receive the call, and of course they tried to get in touch. After a week I ended up calling them to check on it. The jeweler ended up resizing it for me….and at no charge! I was flabbergasted, not only because it was over the top nice of them, but because I was told an estimate for the price beforehand and that’s what I expected to approximately pay. Then to my surprise they did that…. It was so kind of them! I came in contact with four different employees at random points of my visit. Every single one of them were so pleasant and amazing. Let me start this story off by telling you what happened to me two weeks prior to my experience with Motif. I went to a jewelry store in my hometown of Windsor ON Canada and when I walked in there I was immediately treated like a second class citizen and a piece of garbage. Maybe it was because my car didn’t match the 200k cars in the parking lot, I don’t know. I was so pissed because I was so excited to purchase a new watch. Being close to the American border I googled jewelry stores and the first business that popped up was Motif. I gave them a call and spoke to an amazing human being named Bobbie. A few days later I travelled across the border to Motif and it was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. From the moment I walked in the door Bobbie and staff treated me like I was family. They were the most amazing people to work with and we had a deal done in less than 10 minutes. I was so happy how it all went down and amazed at how I was treated by the beautiful people at Motif.
