When your best friend shows you a video reel and says, “Can we do this for my birthday?”
Danielle and Donna at weld and wool are easily some of the finest women I’ve ever met. Danielle takes pride in her business and is very kind. You get greeted at the door rather she is busy or not. You get enjoy full creative freedom of trying on hats of different sizes and colors and there is perfectly placed mirror to do a full outfit check with the hat. I recommend dressing up for this place because when your hat is all finished and you do your final check it is absolutely breath taking how it feels to have something so beautiful designed by you and made for you by such wonderful women. There are tons of bobs and things to choose from as you’re designing your hat. I’m a French countryside romantic so I chose lace for my brim that got tied into a bow by Mrs. Donna who helped me to design and craft my perfect hat. Donna has a smile that can light up a whole room, and just being near her made me want to smile. Donna is truly a master at creating and designing these gorgeous hats and she does it with absolute confidence and grace. Danielle helped my best friend to design her hat and it was a perfect black and blue contrast with a bold white feather with black and blue tips. I think it might have been a duck feather. The whole thing comes together with a turquoise pin. My friends daughter did an olive drab which was absolutely beautiful in color but she made to be so fun with a revolver charm, and a slightly burned edge playing card that had a cow on it. Each hat was very different and unique but brought us so much joy. When I stepped into the mirror my eyes welled over and I just had to put my arms around Donna and thank her for helping me to make something so beautiful. My friend and her daughter in loving memory of her mother and grandmother they both had branded butterflies to the bottoms of the brim of their hats. We created such sweet memories here and I honestly would do it all over again! You would be hard pressed to find something more fun in Temecula other than wine tasting than this sweet little shop here. Before we walked in they had just had a wedding party walk out and they were all absolutely gorgeous women walking out with big smiles and their new hats. Leaving that place makes you the talk of the town! Everyone notices your hat and stops to ask if we had been into weld and wool and the answer is always met with big grins and a giddy yes we did!!!
I recommend to bring patience, I was lucky that when we walked in a party had just finished, but if they had been busy with another party be prepared to wait but enjoy tinkering and trying all kinds of different things to design your hat with.
I look forward to bringing more people here and designing another one! I did see a beautiful light blue hat that might just need a lace trim, leather braided chord, and lots of flowers.
To Danielle and Donna and everyone else at weld and wool, God bless you for giving my best friend and our family and friends an amazing experience! Much love and we hope to see...
Read moreI loved coming here and supporting small family owned businesses. I went in today and to get my anklet welded back on I was okay waiting I saw there was a big party. The lady behind the desk asked if I could come back later due to a large party, I said I can’t but that’s fine maybe next week. I was okay with that I was just in the area so I stopped by to have my anklet fixed, and as I’m turning to leave the employee responds maybe try and don’t come during the weekend with attitude. I just felt like that comment was totally uncalled for since I didn’t complain about being turned away. I have went in plenty of times during the weekend and had hats made, permanent jewelry put on and it was dead. This experience made me not feel welcomed anymore. It’s sad cause I really enjoyed coming into...
Read moreLiterally the sweetest family owned business ever!! We found them on tiktok and knew we had to stop by on our Temecula wine day. The custom hat bag was so cool & one of the only ones (at least that I know of) around San Diego County. The permanent jewelry was so adorable & the rings were something I’ve never heard of. They gave great suggestions of things to do & places to eat & really just took their time with each and every one of us. Will definitely be booking parties and girl days in the...
