I got my mom a new Kate Spade purse for Christmas and unfortunately it wasn't the right style for my mom. I have her the gift receipt so she could exchange the purse for something that better for her style. When returning the bag she worked with a woman name Paige who is the store manager. Paige was very rude and degrading towards my mom because she did not have the tag which I took off her gift. Paige refused to exchange the purse even though no where on the receipt did it say it a tag was required. My mom later called back and spoke with a nice girl name Maddie who did what she could to make things right and told my mom to come back and she would help her out. I went with my mom and Maddie was able to help. After I requested to speak with Paige about the way she spoke to my mom but she was at lunch so I waited till she came back. Paige told me there is no regional manager at this time that I would have to contact corporate to address the issue. When I asked for her full name she said she could not provide that at the time. When I asked what the store location number she said "yeah we have a store number" but did not tell me till I said I needed it yet again. She then said she was sorry for her tone because she had a cold and said we needed to "take it with a grain of salt." She did not apologize for her rude degrading comments but for her tone. They will greet a white customer in a polite way and ignore you if you are of different ethnicity. Since most of my experiences in this store is that I try to avoid going there and buy KS online or go to the next store right next door; Tory or MK. Overall I feel like the other stores of the same type treat customers equally. I am not a person who normally write a review and especially a bad one.
