Buyer Beware!
It was my experience that their machines are set up to automatically charge you a tip, at least when you are reloading your card.
I asked for a reload and didn't realize until my receipt was printed that I was charged a 20% tip, so $4.00 extra to load money on my card.
For the record, this is no longer a tip but a fee. It's outrageous to charge me $4.00 to load my Starbucks card so I can order a drink.
I won't use this location again and if this is a Starbucks approved practice, then I think it's time for me to find a new coffee shop.
Tips are supposed to be voluntary and I struggle with the notion, but thought to be a wage equalizer.
When you add them to my account you both take my right to decide how to handle the tip away from me and decide for me what my responsibility is for equalizing your employees wages.
Since you have no idea what I do for a living, you don't know if we make the same salary, you make more than I do, or if I make more than you do and have a social responsibility for helping to equal your wages to mine.
Instead you have made it your responsibility to steal from your customers by setting your machine to authorize tips on our behalf, with font to small to read, and buttons that are not easy to figure out how to understand how to correct the tip you have chosen to build-in on our behalf.
To make matters worse, your employees have also chosen not to say anything about the tip you are building into said purchase!
Well, you have also failed to realize that this is a reason to ensure that someone won't return. That poor traffic in your store, means reduced hours for you and in the long run affects your entire paycheck...
stealing tips from your customers is a great way to ensure that you don't...
Read moreCame in a few weeks ago and ordered two drinks. An iced chai with brown sugar, and a shaken espresso with brown sugar and whole milk. The iced chai was fine, the shaken espresso was made with oat milk, which I can’t drink so I asked them to remake it— normally I wouldn’t ask to have something be remade but I cannot drink oat milk. They remake the drink and the barista hands it back to me in a timely manner. I leave with my drink and I realize they forgot the brown sugar. This is where the issues start. I walk back in and immediately the barista I make eye contact with rolls her eyes and I see her say “oh my god she’s back”. Let it be known, I was not being rude at all. I was a Starbucks barista for quite some time, so I am very empathetic to Starbucks baristas and staff. I am then ignored for a few minutes even though there was maybe only three other people in there and I was watching the baristas just stand there. After I say excuse me for probably the third time the employee finally comes over and is very snappy with me. I apologized and said that the brown sugar hadn’t been added and asked for the pumps just in the cup. The barista begrudgingly puts the brown sugar in there and not really slams, but kind of harshly put the drink down on the counter despite my hand being extended out. I get that people have bad days but taking it out on a...
Read moreThe place overall during my visit wasn’t clean, I have ordered a venti size PSL with 3 more pumps of pumpkin sauce and extra topping,(this wouldn’t be charged as extra since it is already included in the drink) but instead received the complete opposite. The cashier asked me 3x because she wasn’t sure of what I said and I repeated it 3x and also made sure at the end that, that was what I ordered, she wasn’t sure but then said yea . The total came up close to 8$(which is like 1.70$ higher than it’s supposed to be ) and the wait was more than 10 minutes, at the end they had messed up my order and had Gaven me the smallest size of the psl that I have ordered in a venti which would be the biggest from frapes. After I said it’s the wrong size and the wrong order for the amounts they took it and threw it away and took another 10 minutes to make me another which still wasn’t what I...
