They cohabitate ball pythons with boa constrictors which is potentially deadly for the animals. First there is the case of cannibalism. It's not even wise to keep two ball pythons together. Second is the fact that boa constrictor are a carrier of a disease that does not affect them but can pass it to other species including ball pythons. Cohabitation also stresses these animals out too. They are solitary animals and forcing them to live in small enclosures is unwise. When I pointed this out, I was told it was temporary. That doesn't matter. They can get sick. Don't get more animals than you can properly house. They can get stressed. Secondly, it's a pet store....They have plenty of tanks for sale they could have used one from the shelf. When I pointed this out I was told it was temporary again and they deleted my comments and blocked me. I am disgusted with how they handled my concerns. Customers tend to see pet stores as sxperts. If they see cohabitation they will assume it is a perfectly good way to house these animals and it is not. And to sweep this under the rug and delete my comments and block me? I was never going to write this review till that happened. Delete this. Properly keep your animals. Otherwise you set up others to die.
And I was told the one snake was just owner surrendered so they didn't have a cage set up for it. In my experience having worked in pet stores and rescue....when you get an owner surrender snake...They tend to have issues....mites, worms, RI.....you ALWAYS quarantine new animals. Not throw them in with another species and put a for sale sticker on it. I hope they told any prospective buyers about the snakes history and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo a month ago I purchased 13 fish, two algae eaters, and a parakeet. The parakeet is perfect. He is beautiful and full of life. My fish however have ALL died. My two algae eaters are the only thing I have left. They all died within a week of me purchasing them. I purchased on a Saturday the following Saturday I was down to one fish and the algae eaters. When I initially purchased my fish I told him I had two fish already in my tank that have been in there for over a year. I called the manager in which I purchased them from, he told me to bring a sample of water in to test it that more than likely I had a toxin in my water. How could it have not killed the fish that were already in my tank BEFORE I purchased fish from him. It was just a coincidence that when I put the new fish in my tank that I had a toxin? I believe the fish were sick when they were purchased. Not only did the fish I already have die, but all 13 that I bought from Tifton pet center died also. Never bothered to offer to replace my fish or refund my money. NEVER will I buy anything from this place again. 80 dollars worth of fish and all of them are dead. Never again!
UPDATE
I am now down to no fish. Even the toxin killed my...

So our favorite store Pet Supermarket in Albany closed. We were told about this place and at first thought it was fantastic. Great customer service, great selection of fish. However, we should have done our research first. The reviews talk about how unclean the cages/animals are. And we did see dead fish but thought it was due to the shipments and typical loss of receiving fish.
The first weekend we got fish and then the next weekend had to return one as he didnt play well with others. We exchanged for other fish and got more as well. We have 3 different tanks totalling 210 gallons. WITHIN A WEEK....all our fish are SICK with ick and fin and body rot!!! We have NEVER had this issue with the 3 years we have had these tanks and bought fish from other pet stores including pet supermarket, petco, pet smart, country critters-who is also closed now as well. NEVER had we had disease in our tanks. We have lost so many fish since doing treatment... which is costly might I add for 210 gallons. WE WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I believe the guy has so much turn over with their fish he doesn't get to see if they are sick or even treat and not sale until...
