I was heading back home to Florida. When i just felt it would be stupid to keep on driving. So I pulled into Tifton Ga to see about staying at a Hotel. With many to choose from I went over to the Comfort Inn & Suites. I went inside and asked about a senior rate. And I got a room on 10/30/2022. The front counter lady was very nice and had a great positive attitude. Which after staying 4 days and three nights in a Hartsfield Jackson Marriott Hotel that wasn't a great experience like it had been in the past, was great to see. I was able to park for FREE and up close to the hotel that had great lighting and security camera's. Knowing that a homeless camp wasn't very far from this hotel under Interstate 75 in Tifton Ga. I was given room 205 two queen beds nice size closet. A chair with ottoman and a desk with office chair a TV with many channels A lot more then the Marriott I stayed at in Atlanta. And the bathroom had a deep long tub with shower head. Don't forget the microwave oven and a good size refrigerator with small freezer. The view wasn't much but I didn't hear any downstairs noise being the lobby was under room 205. You could hear the elevator motor from time to time but it didn't cause me not to have a sound sleep. The free breakfast was all I needed and it didn't cost me anything extra. A great Hotel to stay at and feel safe in 2022. IMO. PS I want to thank the GM for their positive response to my comment. I will return to this area again and stay at your hotel....
Read moreI had a two night business trip in Tifton GA and choose the Comfort Inn and Suites because of its convenient location near my work. It is located next to I-75 about ¼ of a mile from the exit. There are plenty of restaurants and retail strip malls close by, some within walking distance. Check in was efficient, friendly and professional which was true of any of the staff I interacted with. My room was spacious, with an adequate desk, a sofa and a wet bar with microwave, fridge and one of those ridiculous one cup coffee brewers. There are plenty of outlets including a couple of USB ports by the bed to keep your electronic gadgets charged. The bathroom was large, clean and has an adequate supply of towels and sundries. Overall the hotel along with my room were clean and well maintained. The elevator broke down in the afternoon but the staff was quick in getting it running. I was comfortable and secure. There is a large breakfast room with a friendly attendant. The food items were kept well stocked and hot. But as usual there was “hockey puck” sausage, pasty gravy, processed eggs, stale pastries and a watery juice machine. At least there was yogurt and cereal. My other complaint was really more of an annoyance then a problem. The flat screen TV is mounted tight against the wall. It cannot be tilted or turned. You have to sit on the bed to get an undistorted view. I did not use the pool or fitness room. It was a comfortable stay and I...
Read moreOn this particular visit, the latch lock/secondary lock on rm 311 was inop. (the cause- door was installed crooked.) 2nd, the breakfast sucked. @ 8:45 am 45 minutes before closing, the waffle batter was completely empty, the orange juice was frozen, ( so all you could get was yellow water ), the hot water was empty, and there was no milk. Eggs & sausage were cold. Toast was good. ( but I made it) Based on how I felt after eating your eggs & sausage, I would not risk eating there again even with your display of 100% clean inspection on the wall. Front desk staff, maintenance, and housekeeping staff were exceptional. I think you need a new computer in the Business Center. I also noticed the glass frame on one of your older gold awards displayed near the elevator was broken. I travel quite a bit, I am currently a Choice Privileges Platinum Member. So, overall, having stayed at this hotel a few times a decade ago, I would say, they have definitely put a lot of upgrades into this facility which is good. I also overheard that this facility is pet friendly. That may be the reason I give you another shot in the next few months. Most Comfort Inns aren't pet friendly in Florida at least. So, I stay @ IHG or LaQuinta when I travel with my wife and our...
