Motel 6 Tifton, GA — Hotel in Tifton

Absurd unhinged treatment at checkout for no reason. Asked to leave a google review,’so here it is.

Mocked strangely upon check out by the Indian female attendant. She shared with me the following during check in 10.5 hours before:

in college for her masters in IT 23 years old her cousins own this and it’s their first time they’re going to do a renovation she worked at a hotel before and she’s here because her cousins needed her “experience” she refers Taco Bell “like 1.2 miles sway”over the Mexican restaurant next door and she’s “unsure of their cleanliness” she likes Prime Minister Modi. She’s upset that this administration has/is requiring US. Employers pay 100k if they want to hire a foreigner under a work visa. Her cousins are “learning as they go”

I will say that she doesn’t seem too grateful to be in the United States or working for her cousin based off what she has shared with me in the way in which she shared it.

I gladly listened to all this and shared about my business and what I’m doing well. It was a perfectly fine conversation for a few minutes during check in.

Upon check out is when it got very strange. One of the male “cousins”was manning the computer, so I greeted them both and gave him my keycard and asked for a receipt. While he was doing whatever behind the counter, the same female that apparently had worked all night began repeating, “just here with dirty cloths” with a forced smile. Now let’s think here, why would you repeat those words and force a smile when someone is checking out? She was mocking me. The evening before her facial expression was disbelief that I owned a business because of my appearance (dirty clothes), at times I’ll get filthy because of what our business does, so I told her in conversation something along the lines of despite the dirty clothes I do well and described our business. Conversation moved on and it was nothing, but she selected this to mock me with while leaving.

At first I joked with her when she said it and even spoke it so eloquently as she had (mocking me), so she repeated it again. At this moment I was checked out with receipt in hand, so she said it again and again… I left when the male cousin looked at me and just said thank you embarrassed she was going on about “dirty clothes” for no reason whatsoever.

In recap, she literally shared half her life with me. I was perfectly pleasant, listening to all, and shared some about myself and what I do because she asked, and apparently she thoroughly enjoys demeaning and mocking people when they are leaving. It literally would’ve been impossible for me to treat her with more kindness and patience, listening the night before so she just has extremely poor character and is not professional.

None of my eight contractors (8 other trucks) or myself will ever come here again; with “dirty” or clean clothes.

One last thing there were various bugs and insects in the room and although all of this might come as a surprise to some, I generally could care less and stay at these places because the cost is extremely low and I didn’t get where I’m at spending 300 a night while traveling . This review is one star solely because of the nasty behavior and unprofessionalism when I was leaving, but if bugs on the ground and walls bother you leave your socks on here.

Review will be removed if they call me and articulate an apologize clearly and refund everything...

First off, I found it was very easy & fast to make reservations for the hotel. The receptionist was very polite and offered non standard assistance to me at check in when she noticed that I was having difficulty standing at the late eve check-in window. I'm a disabled veteran and my abilities to travel is extremely limited. She offered to help me back to my vehicle and for Me to wait there while she finished the process of checking me into the room I specified I needed. The accommodations of the rooms where low grade even in considering the fees for staying at their facility. The location although is excellent for shopping, restaurants, gasoline, banking, grocery shopping, Pharmacy, Hospital care, and a adequate mall to say the least. Other guest where friendly. The staff that maintain the grounds, rooms, and offices are exemplary. wheelchair accessible to my particular room was within 25ft. from my room which was great for me due to my personal limitations. Overall I am very happy with Tifton Motel 6. I felt safe in my room and outside. All I can/will say that the conditions of the appeal within the rooms are not up to standards you would expect considering all the other wonderful enemities involved. Cleanliness can be and should be of a higher standard. Bathrooms should be remodelled and an eye for making them more comfortable and ♿️ safe to getting in and out of the tubs/showers. I would consider painting the rooms. Lighting, TV picture was substandard. The towels and washcloths need to be taking out of rotation and burned. Microwave was Clean, Smal fridge very clean. I would add more furniture and such to accommodate clothing and other traveling materials. Chairs were absent in my room. No landlines phones to speak with the office or maintainance teams. The air conditioner works very well but the appearance of them need could stand to be upgraded. I like stated am a veteran & what others may consider trivial and non attention worthy is cause for pause. My eyes for the problems that I feel should be addressed is I know to be higher than average. But the customers like minded may turn away from here just from opening the doors to their rooms. Now before anyone scratch this motel of your list I would say DON'T DO THAT!!! The Cleanliness is simple as are the accommodations and therefore perfect for any migrate workers or large families and even single travelers like myself... I give them a strong 5 stars on that alone. But a 3 on the looks appeal department. Thanks for reading and thanks for any advice you might take into consideration.

Had a terrible experience, the room crawling with roaches, AC is hot, trash everywhere, people walking around doing drugs in the open, my dog found HUMAN feces outside on the ground. Prostitutes, drug dealers and pimps sat up outside watch constantly. Sure the police ride through but they rarely do anything unless you bother them. We stayed for a week and almost everyday the police were here for one problem or another. The maintenance crew is fully of mostly addicts, going in and out of the drug rooms, some of them even appear to sell to people themselves. Kids walking around constantly causing drama, fighting and ding dong ditching, which they do nothing about because most of the kids belong to the owners and workers. It’s absolutely disgusting, for 2 days the water ran brown and the tub has mold around the rim. Chewed up broken doors, my door didn’t even close fully. I complained and there was nothing they could do, I did call code enforcement who found worse then I did, maggots in and under the fridge, mold in the ac, just nasty stuff. They refused to refund me but they moved me room, which didn’t fix anything it may have actually been worse with the outlets not working in the room they moved us to plus the syringe caps and BULLET HOLES Would never go back and would never...
