I was very disappointed with this hotel. Honestly, Wyndham corporate should look into the safety and cleanliness of this franchised hotel. The cons: Visibly dirty ledges, sink, and hairdryer which could easily be fixed with a simple wipe during the turndown service; missing smoke detector in the room(safety concern); pile of used linens in the hallway, and not even in a tidy pile - we had to step over it with our luggage; puddle of water just outside the elevator with only a caution sign (why not mop the water?); painted over painter’s tape on the bathroom wall (it was still old paint, so why didn’t they remove it?); missing bathroom door trim and gouges on the walls and doors throughout the hotel; a strong musky odor lingering from the front entrance all the way into the bedrooms; and a white powdery substance sprinkled on the window seat. The pros: Kai at the front desk was incredibly helpful. We arrived close to midnight and immediately had issues with loud neighbors shouting and banging on the walls. Kai apologized for the noise, warned those occupants, and moved us to a new floor without further issue. The breakfast offered a fairly good variety, and bed was otherwise clean. The price was reasonable, but not for the overall negative and cringy experience. The website’s photos are incredibly misleading. The bathroom smelled like dog urine and the fixtures were rickety. The location was right off the highway, but tucked behind a bunch of other hotels which made it difficult to find the entrance. It probably made it worse because their street marquee wasn’t illuminated. The last thing that made me feel uneasy, was the large leaking crack in the ceiling just above the front desk. Water poured from the crack as I checked in, almost made me think the ceiling could eventually fail. The missing smoke detector should be reported to the appropriate authority. My party had 2 rooms, and we were both moved to a new floor after the first incident. My experiences come after an total review of 4 separate rooms, each with their own issues. Overall: 2 stars.

Decided to visit family recently & stay at the Microhotel for 5 nights. Walking into the hotel it smelled like a musty basement (mildewy) & the only purifier in the lobby was caked in dust & looked like it had never been cleaned. That smell permiated through out the entire hotel. Upon arrival of our room not only was the heat turned on (in the middle of summer) but it was also very muggy. We turned on AC & that helped with the heat but our entire stay the room stayed muggy. After showering it felt like we needed a new shower because of that feeling in the air. The room also smelled mildewy (which we had to buy air fresheners to help) & the room itself looked as if it was falling apart (see pictures). Bed sheets & towels had red stains, shower curtain was ripped in several sections, carpet had either dryed up cat food or cereal which we had to throw away, fire alarm had no batteries, hair was left in the shower & bed sheets, rust on door frames was bad, coffee maker was absolutely gross, & there was a large stain caked on the window looking out our room. It felt as if there was no care given to the cleanliness or appearance of the place at all. Overall the room looked & felt cheap, which after spending almost $400 I was expecting better. Next time I visit family I'd rather spend the extra $200 for a nicer hotel room & experience.

We found this hotel after having dinner. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by a gentleman that looked like maybe a maintenance worker who was carrying some wire hangers and talking to the receptionist telling her they didn’t work and before she waited on me, she said, can you give me just a minute and she went to the back of the office area and dug threw some tools and gave him a few screwdrivers. She sent the gentleman up the elevator with directions on lifting it and fixing it that way whatever that meant. Lily herself was amazing very very helpful and seemed very overwhelmed. As I waited in the lobby, the overwhelming smell of marijuana was ridiculous. There was a very loud room right next to the lobby where the person in the room had the door opened and it was very chaotic in there and I basically was just turned off hearing that, but being exhausted we decided to stay. Lily gave us our keys after checking us in very quickly, and we went to room 121. I use my key card. I open the door, and walked into basically a party. The beds unmade there was food everywhere no people in there, but a very, very disrupted room. At this point, I went back to the lobby to talk to Lily and she was busy with another customer who was complaining about their room on the third floor. This gentleman was insisting on changing rooms because of the smell of cigarette smoke, so she changed their rooms and as I was waiting, another lady came down and was insisting on having a new room because she had no hot water. During this time, Lily was trying to get me a new room as well. I asked her not to give me the room on the third floor that smelled like smoke and she said she wouldn’t and I did overhear her ask the gentleman did your wife and children mess up the beds before she changed their room. We got our new room after we heard a second customer complain about having no hot water. When we arrived to our door, I noticed my key card wouldn’t work. It wasn’t flashing any colors and I was just able to push open the door. There didn’t seem to be anyone in that room so we didn’t say anything. The room was very comfortable very clean. The only issues in our room was the broken sink with cracks as well as the pillow that was in the windowsill was ripped and the foam was coming out. I just found it ugly. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, but at this point, we’re exhausted, and I could tell that the front desk was being inundated with issues as the night went on not only the cigarette smoke was the problem. The overwhelming smell of marijuana was almost breathtaking. The remote control in our room had a broken off back. I know that is petty, but it was broken. The overall stay was fine, but all of these small issues make it to where I would not recommend...

FRAUD ALERT, DO NOT STAY HERE, THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD LONG AFTER YOU LEAVE. AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REACH SOMEONE AFTER YOU CHECKOUT! 20 MINUTES OF CALLING NON WORKINLING NUMBERS. THIS PLACE HAD A GREEN POOL. BIG BUGS, AND SUSPECT GUESTS, but WE DID NOT JUDGE WE STAYED. REGRETFULLY WE ARE NOW $700 INTO THIS PLACE WHERE WE DID NOT STAY!!!!!!!! i ABSOLUTLEY AM REPORTING THEM TO BBB AND TO THE fRANCHISE FOR THIS TYPE OF PROPERTY EVEN BEING ALLOWED TO ACCEPT GUESTS. NOT EVEN A DOG SHOULD STAY HERE. WHILE THERE WE DECIDED TO INTERPRET THE HIGHLY VISIBLE POLICE AND SHERIFF AS " SAFETY". WE KNOW NOW WHY THEY ARE HIGHLY VISIBLE. THIS HOTEL TARGETS BUSINESS OWNERS. IN TOTAL THEY CHARGED US OVER $900 NOW HAVING REVIEWED ALL CHARGES FROM THEM. AND I DONT KNOW WHERE THESE OTHER PEOPLE STAYED AT, WHEN THEY SAY THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN. THE WINDOW SEATS MY SON SAID WERE STAINED WITH A WHITE SUBSTANCE. GIVEN THE FACT THAT THIS HOTEL TOOK DOGS FOR $10 COMPARED TO THE MARRIOT'S $75. Details. we reserved a room from 8/16-8/19. We were assured the card would not be charged, we were not the guests. Other family members stayed here and nearby as well. They too have reported refunds and other issues related to their room and the pool being green. Like swamp green. The guests staying checked in 8/19. Checked out and Paid at checkout Front desk with a clerk. While watching we asked again and confirmed that no charges would appear. She said no, the bill was taken care of, and no additional charges would be applied, and if they were, they would go on the card of the guest. EXACTLY one week later TODAY, we see they tried to charge an Add. $667. Have yawl seen these rooms? No where in TIFTON GA are you paying $1k to stay for 4 days. BUT these fraudsters saw a corp. card and thought they could get away with this charge. Trust this long review and stay at the Marriot, at least when they overcharged my card ( yes they did it too), they acknowledged it, and did not try to act like they had no way of comprehending my concerns. In all Georgia Ribbed my family of close to $4k. with only the Marriot refunding their mistake ( overcharge on my card of $2800). Never EVER EVER again. We will stay in Florida, and use prepaid cards moving forward. They looked suspect, but again, we did not want to judge, WE JUDGED RIGHT!!!!!! trust your instincts!!! lesson learned for good! We filed a complaint with BBB, Georgia Consumer Affairs ( office of the attorney General), and filed Merchant fraud complaints with MasterCard and VIsa. They should know what these merchants are doing to hard...

If you are looking for an inexpensive cheap room for the night - just need a comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower, friendly customer service, light breakfast of cereal, toast, mini pancakes (push the button and mini pancakes come out) and coffee this place works. Coffee was a bit weak. That is pretty much what you will get here. We booked this hotel Christmas weekend as we were traveling on booking.com for $79. $79 -my expectations were a bit sketchy after reading the reviews (after I already booked it). The Interstate was so packed we wanted to make sure we got a room for the night. We just needed a bed and hot shower. When we got there we were checked in by Lily who was so nice and friendly and told us if we needed anything let her know. She was awesome. The outside looks more modern than the inside but it’s really just a nice clean older establishment. The lobby and rooms and bathroom were clean just dated. No in-room coffee, microwave, fridge, or safe but it does have a nice window ledge for your suitcases. There is a hairdryer and sample soaps. The linens were clean. Overall as far as the hotel goes I gave it a 4 star because our bed and pillows gave me a better sleep than I have had in 5 star hotels. I have a bad back and neck and very seldom get a good rest and I had a very relaxing sleep which means everything to me. I was very satisfied with the hotel for providing me a good rest and hot shower. The 1 star deduction is just because it is very outdated and could use some renovating. Lily told me a few places to eat that are within the block of the hotel. Zaxby’s, Golden Corral, Hardee’s, and Chinese. We ended up at Surcheros - TexMex Tacos across the street which was good. I just needed a cup of coffee to get on the road but it was a bit weak for me so we stopped at Hardee’s next door and got a cup - if you like strong coffee get it over there. I had them water mine down. |I recommend this Microtel if you just need an inexpensive place to sleep and a hot shower and don’t mind that it’s older you will be happy, rested and treated very well. You can either try their breakfast or grab a...
