The employees were extremely rude and not at all helpful. I placed an order online to pick up. I then arrived at the store 40 minutes after placing my order. The website said that orders would be ready in an hour, so I thought I would check in to see if I could get an estimated time when the order might be ready. I looked around and saw a cashier by the registers and no one else around, so I asked her if she had any suggestion as to how long until it would be ready. Her response was not even to ask about the order number or the items in my order, but to say, "We get lots of online orders. If you haven't received a notification that it's ready, then you'll just have to wait." Even after explaining that we live over 2 hours away, and would really appreciate not having to lose my entire day to waiting for an order to be filled, her response was the same. I tried to elicit help once more by letting her know that I had called over after placing the order to verify the items I purchased were actually in stock since both items said that there was only 1 left, and it had been confirmed that the items were in stock, and I wondered if there was any chance that they might just be sitting somewhere, or if maybe I could find them to help the process along. I was then told that the only option besides waiting was to cancel the online order and purchase the items in person.
At this point, my daughter needed to use the restroom, so we decided to leave in search of a bathroom and lunch, in the hopes that the order would be ready when we returned. We walked out of the store and within a minute (no exaggeration), I had received a text saying that the order was ready to be picked up. We continued to the bathroom and to get lunch, stopping to sit and eat for a few minutes, before returning to the store. By this time, it had been 1 hour 15 minutes since placing the order, so I was fully expecting it to be ready. The text I had received telling me that the order was ready had a link for me to click on in order to "check in when you arrive." I clicked on it, following the prompts to let the store know where I was standing (by the registers) and what I was wearing for identification purposes. The site then told me that I was next in line, and someone would bring my order right out.
My daughter and I stood talking for 5 minutes waiting for someone to approach us, at which point I told her I would give them 5 more minutes and then I would find out what was going on. About halfway through that wait, the same person we had spoken with earlier approached with a digital device in her hand. Cashier: Are you here to pick up your order? Me: Yes. Cashier: What is the last name? Me: Brown Cashier: With a W or with an S? Me: (Puzzled) It has a W. Wait, do you mean first initial? Cashier: Yes. Me: Oh! My first initial is an S. Cashier: Well, the order pickup area is on the other side of the store. You'll need to go over there to pickup your order.
My daughter and I then walked across the store to get the order, which the other store employee then had to go get from a locked cabinet. I can honestly say that I will NEVER go back to this store again, and here are the things that should be fixed if anyone cares about having happy customers that care to return:
If someone comes in looking for an online order, suggest that they could maybe check in with the people at the order pickup desk. Ask the customer what the order number is, and check to see what the status of the order is. Even if there's no way to pick up the order sooner, these first two steps make it look like the cashiers want to be helpful, as opposed to not caring at all. The website states that online orders will be ready in an hour. If this is not accurate, or an order cannot be filled in that amount of time, the website needs to be changed. When someone arrives in store to pick up an order and checks in via the website, either the order needs to be brought to the customer or the website response needs to be altered. Clear signage directing to the pickup desk...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible shopping experience at this store. We went to buy some shoes. After we found the shoes we wanted to buy, we asked one associate to get the right size for us. He went away and then never came back. We waited for 10 mins and then asked another associate whether he can get the shoes for us. This second associate again went away and then never came back. After another 10 mins, we went to ask the second associate whether he found the shoes of the right size. His response was that they didnāt find that size in their warehouse. Come on folks, if you donāt have the shoes in your warehouse, how about letting us know instead of keeping us waiting for 25mins? Story didnāt end there. We placed an online order at the same store on our way back home. Right after we got home, we received an email saying the shoes are at the store ready for pick-up! It took less than an hour for the order to be ready for pick-up and thereās no way the shoes came from another store. The shoes of that size have been there in the warehouse the whole time and obviously both associates couldnāt care any less about the customers and their job responsibilities. Rather than doing their job, they would prefer to twiddle their thumbs. A complete waste of our time and this is a new low of my all-time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store has an amazing staff. They have been helpful in the extreme.
It started when I came back from Alaska and didnt quite get my pedals screwed back into my bike properly. I stripped the crank. So I took my bike to this store, but the main bike guy was away on a family matter so it had to wait. No problem, I had a loaner bike.
I got the bike back, the bike tech had re threaded the crank and I was good to go. I rode on it like that but the same problem cropped up, the pedal was getting farther and farther off center.
So I took it back to the store, and this is where these guys really started to win me. Within about 3 hours I got a call saying that my bike was finished and was ready to be picked up. They had put a whole new set of cranks on for me and only charged me labor for my troubles. I will never take my work elsewhere if I can help it. A few days ago I bought a set of new clip pedals and shoes, and the section manager installed them for me on the spot. Very happy with them. Just today I took my rear tire there for a new tube and the bike tech happily installed me a new tube as I waited (had to buy the tube of course. I picked...
