Tiger Lily Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

This is a great little place for locals and tourists alike (although locals get to enjoy this place in the off-season, when it's a lot easier to snag a seat on the trendy outside balcony that's usually buzzing with newcomers.)

I don't have anything but mostly positive words for this place. It's situated on a really idyllic street in the already quaint port town of Port Jefferson and before you even get to the food portion of the place, you get hit with a very alternative wave of ambiance, decor, and atmosphere. From the shabby chic velvet couch that greets you when you walk in, to the kooky cool mismatched tables and chairs and intimate sitting area in the far back, this place does not lack in atmosphere.

The staff is friendly and cool, and the food is typically solid with a decent range of selection. Bonus points: it's vegan friendly and offers a great selection of choices instead of doing the bare minimum like so many other places do.

My only critique is that they don't switch their wraps up enough and have a habit of putting way too much sauce/mayo on everything even if you ask them to go light. It would also be nice if they offered gluten-free, wheat free, low carb choices since their so accommodating with vegan options. Other than that, this is a great place for a quick bite to eat...

This is my own personal expierence I just left this facility the vibe was amazing I made a order for pick up I went to the counter to pay for food they didn’t take cash young woman offered to see if I would like to go to ATM as I did when I went to pay for my food she tells me that it’s 23$ and some change and I didn’t understand how because I certainly looked at the menu from the actual website on the downloadable broshure the cashier blamed the owner for not updating website. I took the food and left the drink so had an incomplete meal due to the cashier not honoring what was present on the website. I’ve been to many restaurants and if something was incorrect it could easily be adjusted and it made no sense for me to take another 20$ out on top of the 2$ atm fee I was already previously charged because they do not accept card. The actual Food was okay I specified to person who took my order over the phone please mark the difference on sandwiches order as I am very allergic to tomatoe as this was not done but the experience in itself was horrible and I just would not recommend coming here solely because they are overpriced and do not accommodate...
