the first time I visited Fetch Doggy Boutique and Bakery was the last day on Earth for my sweet baby—and there was no other place she would rather be.

The owner (and her sister!) could tell my girl wasn’t feeling well as soon as we walked in—she was weak hadn’t been eating for weeks. They were incredibly patient with her and went through snack after snack after snack until they found some that she enjoyed enough to eat despite her sickness. They could also tell that I was emotional and didn’t ask me too many questions as they spoiled my dog—they knew she needed it and knew I needed it and that was enough for them. After hanging out for a while in the store, we bought a few bags of goodies and took them to the park to spend the rest of the day soaking up the sun☀️

When our sweet girl, Sage, turned 15 years old, she was as about ready to cross the rainbow bridge. We had gotten our pups birthday cakes from fetch before, and went to get Sage her last birthday cake. The owner of Fetch, Patty, was an absolute angel to us. She asked how our pup was doing and my mom tearfully informed her that this would be Sage’s last birthday before the rainbow bridge. Patty was the absolute sweetest. She hugged us and cried with us. She then gave us the expensive cake for free along with multiple treats. My family was so taken aback by this kindness and the fact that she did not want us to pay even when we offered. We brought her flowers some time later to thank her, and she gave us more free treats for our new pup. I will forever rave about her and Fetch, and encourage everyone to go there. From the bottom of our hearts and Sage’s, we will never forget how inspiring this beautiful act of kindness was. I wish Patty nothing but the best!

My bf and I stopped in for the first time this weekend and already know we will be coming here in the future whenever we visit Port Jeff. The store itself is a dream for any dog owner! (They also had a selection of cat products that the owner took the time to show us and explain which items might be liked by our furry feline friend.) They had a great selection of quality healthy treats and foods, a few of which I did take home to my pups. They also had a wide array of different NY sport team jerseys and I was so happy to find a Yankees jersey in a XXXL for my pitty.

The best thing about Fetch is Patty the owner. Patty was beyond wonderful to speak to. She was welcoming, warm, and gave us a few great suggestions for restaurants to try in the area and was generous as well with sending us home with some treats for our fur babies.
