The Rinx at Harborfront Park — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

I felt like we were skating in a postcard! We were invited to a birthday party last weekend and although it did take time to get to Port Jeff from the city, it was well worth it! The town of Port Jefferson is so lovely with great places to eat and cute little shops. The skating rink is just such a perfect touch to this setting! Everyone who works at the Rinx is patient, fun, kind and they cater to the children. A perfect sunny afternoon...

Super sweet seasonal ice rink. The ice was decent (though much harder than my California kid is used to!) And the rink is large enough to do some moves if you're there early enough. Ice guards are very conscientious and check in with struggling kids. $18 with skate rental for 90min sessions. Rental skates are somewhat uncomfortable but go for the hocky skates over the figure skates. Check the actual website for skate times. This one was mislinked when I last checked.
