Sue La La Couture — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

My daughter and I, went to NY (where we are from) to go prom dress shopping. (We live in NC now) After visiting different places and a call to a lady who was extremely rude with her comments regarding a style of dress that my daughter wanted, Sue La La was the last shop we went to and I wish it was the first. The owner was so kind and genuine and was not just trying to just make a sale. She went above and beyond, recommending dresses based on the style my daughter was looking for. She would pin up the dress so you can see what it would look like sized to your body. She took her time and really cared about how the dress made the person feel. We ended up finding a dress that she loved. Sue did not want me to have to pay extra for shipping and such if I can find the dress elsewhere in North Carolina. Again genuinely kind. Because of this I ordered the dress from her shop and was glad to pay the small additional shipping fee to get it home to us. ($15) she communicated the whole way even following up with the company to ensure the dress would make it on time for prom. I highly recommend her shop. Not only because of the selection she had, but because of the way she did business. We will definitely be back again, (as we have another prom next year and I have 4 daughters) prices were also very fair. You don’t find many people like that in the business world. One word “AMAZING”!!! Best people!! Best service!!! Beautiful dresses!!!!! I never post reviews but I really felt I needed to. We went into the store shopping for a sweet 16 dress not only were we treated professionally we were treated like family! The dress we purchased was absolutely beautiful and I can honestly say that there was not any dress store (we went to all of them Ugg Nassau Suffolk and Manhattan) that could even compare to Sue’s store. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and while getting fitted for her dress experienced a very low blood sugar what caused her to almost pass out. Not only did Sue and her staff stop to take care of my daughter Sue went and bought my daughter an orange drink from a juice bar and bought her a cold water and they fanned my daughter until she felt better! I really look forward to coming back for junior prom and senior prom and all future events!!! If you are looking for amazing dresses and service you found your place!!!!! Thank you Sue...

My sister and I dropped in to find a dress prom Immediately when we walked in the Store associates were rude we walked in and we were judged they didn't greet us we had to initiate the conversation on what we were looking for and they still seemed uninterested to have our business. It was extremely uncomfortable after looking for a dresses for 10 minutes eventually another customer walked in the store and both associates immediately got up to go and what seemed ran to the customer and assisted her the way sales associate are supposed to treat customers. We were treated extremely poorly at this location I will never step foot in the store again and I will be sure to let the Community know how disgusting their associates are. We were discriminated and judge as soon as we stepped in the door- this is disappointing especially since this is a location where most likely a young girls come to shop for prom.
