Unfortunately this was a terrible experience for our wedding this past Saturday October 17, 2020. Originally we were told that the tuxes we were renting for our 4 groomsmen, the groom and father of the bride would be in the Monday or Tuesday before the wedding so this would have been 10/12 or 10/13. I called on Monday 10/12 to see if anything had come in being that it was Columbus Day my expectations werenât even high that they would be open, they were and the person I spoke to on the phone told me that they wouldnât be in until Tuesday or Wednesday which would have been 10/13 or 10/14. I was kinda frustrated at the time that the days had changed but I did understand as it was a holiday on Monday. On Tuesday 10/13, our best man gets a phone call that not all tuxes have arrived and was asked to please relay the message to me, our best man stated that he would not relay the message they needed to call me, the bride, since I was picking them up and delivering them to the men and wouldnât be happy that they werenât all in. Keep in mind I was delivering tuxes to people that lived and hour and a half away as to cut back on traveling and back and forth trips. They called me at just about noon on Tuesday and explained to me that only 3 of the 6 tuxes were in and that I should be getting a phone call later that day to come pick up all 6 tuxes. 4:00 rolls around, still no call, I called to ask what was going on and was told that itâs too late for them to come today that they would be in tomorrow Wednesday 10/14 and they would call me when they came in. Wednesday at about 1:30 I get a call that all of the tuxes were in except for 1 and that it would be in Thursday 10/15. I was told that I have to keep in mind with COVID going on theyâre running with short staff and all that nonsense, that would be a valid excuse if we were last minute expecting 6 tuxes to be to the shop on time, the men went and were fitted 5 months in advance. Thereâs really no excuse for it on my opinion. Now Iâm starting to see red, however I kept my composure as we need these tuxes for our wedding on Saturday. I explained that Iâm delivering them a distance away and I want to be sure that theyâre all going to fit correctly with enough time to make adjustments of necessary. I was assured all would be okay and that I would get a call Thursday since theyâre overnighting the last mans tux to the shop. We get the call on Thursday that all are there and ready to be picked up. Iâm happy, my now husband and I head over to the shop to pick them up and try his on and then travel north so the other men can try theirs on. My husband tries his on, jacket is too tight, vest is short and pants are way too short.. pants easy fix as there was a tailor there to adjust them. Jacket and vest were ordered and overnighted to the shop. Cool, right?! Then we head up north and have our first groomsmen try on his tux, literally nothing but the white dress shirt fit him, jacket wouldnât even go on, vest tight and he had to unbutton it to sit down, pants wouldnât go on and shoes wouldnât go on. Called and they overnighted the new items to the shop. Next problem is, how am I going to get to the tux shop Friday 10/16 THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING, to get the items? Fortunately one of my bridesmaids was able to run over and grab them to bring them to rehearsal. We get them, looking through everything, the grooms jacket is the EXACT same jacket he originally got, vest is perfect. Groomsmen that nothing fit at all, had the right sizes now however he was ordered a BLACK vest instead of a PURPLE vest that the other groomsmen had, fortunately we still had is original purple vest for him to at least wear for the ceremony and photos. Now, paying almost $300 each for 6 tuxes there is NO EXCUSE for this, at all. I was stressed and miserable the last few days leading up to the wedding because of these issues. Not impressed with the service we received... not ONE time did we receive an apology for any of the issues we had. No empathy in the slightest. Will NEVER recommend this...
Read moreI couldn't have been more disappointed in my experience here. As someone in good shape they really didn't know how to fit me. First they fit me in wrong size jacket. Next time in I got the right size jacket but needed it taperd in on the sides. When I went back they had not really tapperd it in much. Looked like a potato sack!! On top of that it wasn't tailored right there was a huge pocket of material that bluffed out in middle of my back whenever I was in a relaxed stance. I was told that was how it was because of my shoulder blades. I own several suits and none of them have that at all. I would be embarrassed to were it like that. I was told they could try to take it out but it was common with a smug attitude. So I decided to take it to my normal tailor and he fixed it and it looks right!!! I asked for a refund on some of my tailor fees including fees for lengthiness arms which was on first jacket that they fit me wrong in but not second jacket I was told I had to do what I had to do but they weren't gonna offer refund of any kind. All in all there turnaround time was good I'll give them that but what good is turnaround time if product is wrong. As a younger person I will NEVER go there again!!!!! If you want a big boxy suit like your dad there probally great but if you want a nice slim fitting suit that is popular with young professionals I would recommend going...
Read moreI went into Charneyâs with a clean slate and open mind. Iâve always liked clothes so I was looking forward to checking out a new Menâs store. As I browse around the store, unsure of what to get, an older gentleman approaches me and asks if I need any help. I respond: âIâm not sure but I may be looking at shirts.â He measures me and gives me measurements vastly different than Iâve heard before. When questioned on this he becomes defensive and also informs me, âI canât just take any shirt out the pack, you have to be serious.â Which I understand, but fit is the most important thing when buying clothes especially after given vastly different measurements. The whole reason of buying clothes in person is so you can try them on. The older man had an attitude the whole time I was with him, making me feel like his helping me was a chore. I would have walked out right then and never turned back, but I had a gift card and was determined to use it. After a painful experience finding some decent things, I was able to use my gift card and never look back. I will never be back here and if you are looking for an âexperienceâ and good customer service,...
