AutoZone Auto Parts — Local services in Town of Farmington

One of the worst AutoZones I've ever been to. I would rate zero stars, but I cant. Needed to get my battery warrantied out. I had already gotten a jumpstart from a tow truck, who checked my battery, and alternator, and determined that the battery was bad. Took it here, told them what was going on. The old man that I dealt with with was not familiar with their computer system, and grumpy already. I overheard him saying that he shouldn't have even come into work that day. They said they needed to test it anyway. After they tested it, it was bad. Then they claimed that they still couldn't switch the battery out. They had to charge it and test it again. The alternater had been charging for almost 2 hours of highway driving. We explained that, and the grumpy old man explained that he didn't care. The battery is still under warranty. They just dont want to honor their replacement policy. The customer service here from the old man was poor at best, and downright worthless. We are travelling across country, and count on Auto Zone to keep us rolling. However, this kind of customer service will get me to switch to O'Reilly's, or Advance really quick.

Update. Went to the Macedon location. Much better customer service. Explained our issue to them. They had us in and out quickly, and back on the road. Very helpful, definitely recommend...

They were so kind and extremely helpful with what I needed. I don’t know much about cars and I had a problem that I didn’t know if I needed to go to a mechanic for or if I could fix it myself. I’ve never tried to fix anything on my car myself before and just take it to a mechanic and pay them whatever they charge. I had to travel in 2 weeks and I didn’t have the time to drop it off at a mechanics with my work schedule, so I tried to see if auto zone could help me. I walked in and explained my problem and the woman at the desk didn’t know so she found someone else who could explain to me what the issue might be. He came out and looked at my car and spotted the problem and gave me instructions on how to do it myself, I went back in and the woman looked up what product I specifically needed based on my car type and got it off the shelf for me. I did exactly what the man told me to do and now my car is fixed and saved me about 200 in parts + labor costs I would usually spend on something this basic at a mechanics, I am so thankful that they took the time to help me right in time...

Incredibly frustrated with the service received at this location. They refuse to honor the 3 year warranty on my battery purchased here despite it being less than 2 years old. My car has died twice in the last week with both AAA and a mechanic shop stating it was a battery problem. Have attempted taking the battery in twice to receive a new one but they state it is testing fine even though I have needed to have my car towed because of the bad battery. Not to mention I am 8 months pregnant and have now been stranded twice due to this problem that I have tried to resolve by utilizing my battery warranty...
