I hate to leave a 1 star review, considering the sales associate in store, Jonathon, when I purchased my furniture was incredibly helpful and professional. He made the entire transaction very easy. However, my experiences post-purchase could not have been worse. We bought a new home and loved Modani's furniture, we initially wanted to furnish our whole house with their stuff. We ordered three bed sets, three sets of backyard furniture, dining room table plus chairs. We were very excited with the purchase and couldn't wait to have it all delivered. Unfortunately, when the delivery date came, everything was a sh*t show. There were some items missing during delivery (and still are), and some items arrived damaged. The nightstands were damaged, pieces from our backyard furniture were damaged. When we tried ordering replacements we were told it was out of stock leaving our backyard set incomplete and needing to be sent back. The replacements that WERE promised for other damaged items, arrived damaged again the second time. The one nightstand that seemed okay started malfunctioning two days later, and the sad part is that NO ONE has been able to acknowledge our issue and make it right.
Not to mention our dining room table did not even come with proper hardware for it to be assembled by their own delivery staff. Since the table was sent with the wrong screws, it could not be assembled and we had to send it back. We are still missing several pieces of furniture with no promise if and when it will be replaced. After contacting Modani several times, no one has reached out to us to make it right. This is unacceptable and disappointing. We do not recommend getting carried away in their store while looking at the pieces they have out, because we strongly feel there is lack of a quality check and the customer service post-sale is non existent. Very nice at the store, getting you water and coffee(even some chocolate). Also promising , that unlike other stores and furniture places, "We have items in stock". With that said, we placed a order in November 2021. After 4 failed attempts of delivering really badly damaged items, wrong items, even mix matched chairs(at the last attempt they promised us "White Glove Service" as well as they promise they will inspect the items for damage and that it will be the correct items before they take it out the warehouse and deliver it to our home. Now they are not calling us at all, when we do call them after the time frame they said they will call us, they keep saying " we will escalate it to our manager or higher person" that has been escalated so many times, I can't imagine there's that many levels up the ladder. This is very disappointing, Today March 23rd 2022, their new excuse is that customer service is down. I said so it email, phone, mail or text message as well? I asked when did it go down then, they claim they don't know. I replied, maybe I should go there and lend speak to them or someone lend them a phone or laptop. They promised to call me back over 2 weeks ago and no replies. My next complaint is the the BBB, social media, ABC, NBC, Help me Howard or anyone else that can expose these liars. The first time the furniture came the dining chairs were cream instead of white and all of the furniture was damaged. It took two deliveries for the dining room table to be acceptable and I returned the six chairs. The sideboard was delivered again and it was again damaged with scratches and a big dent in the drawer. They again offered to exchange the side board and would send it again when the arm chairs were back in stock. The sideboard came the third time and it was damaged with a big scratch. I was told I either had to take a 20% cash refund, 40% store credit or return it for a full refund. Unfortunately I do not want to return it since it was bought to coordinate with the rest of the furniture in an open space floor plan. There is nothing else I want to purchase from the store and now I am stuck with a damaged piece of furniture because they will not exchange more than 3 times. I am sorry if you are selling furniture, you need to make sure the furniture is not damaged. I will never shop in this...
