They do have a different and unique style of clothes so I will take nothing from them with that . I am one who loves boutique shopping and there are plenty in RVC... I visited unique about 3 times... my first 2 experiences were not bad. The sizing for me wasnt a fit cause they really don't have extra small. So the small sizes for me fit like a medium... It is not worth it for me to buy an affordable cheap piece and have it tailored for me to fit when the cost of alterations is almost double the price then I paid for the item. I rather go to a more expensive boutique for better quality of clothes and find sizes that may carry extra small. It's a hit or miss for Mystique... I found there service people to be nice and helpful tho up to that point. As of 3 weeks ago... I went in there and I was looking around cause I had to stop at the ups store and the ace hardware so I said ...I gained some weight let's see what they have.. I didnt go far into the store just mainly near the clearance cause I wanted a one piece leotard blouse before summer was over. Nothing crazy... I noticed no one ever said hello to me nor can I help you... I paid it no mine... So as I am looking around in my search I see other people come in not of my color and they got a hello from across the room and later was even asked can I help you with something. We are all on the same clearance racks. I said okay no problem in my head... maybe they just didnt see me.. whatever. So I didnt find what I was looking for but the time i spent in there I felt I should just buy something and give the place my business as well... so I found two items and I went to the register so there are two young ladies behind the counter of caucasian descent that have been walking around the whole time i was there... they were just standing behind the register talking with one another and I waited for a moment for help. I turned to look at a pocketbook that sat on the tables right before the register where you stand online at and when I turned back to look both of the ladies left the register... neither one of them stayed to check me out as I patiently waited for them to take me and pay for my purchase. I was dumbfounded by this behavior. I waited a few minutes no one came back this is when I knew it was a race thing for sure. It took everything out of me not to go walk and look for them and give them a talking too that they would not like... So being the lady of class that I am I put the stuff back on a rack and walked out the store... I have been living in this neighborhood for 18 years. I believe I remember there being another clothing store there before Mystique even opened in that location.. No one should ever be treated like they dont matter. I make more money than they do working in that store and I never treat people like they are less than anyone. So this is why I give this store a 1 star. You should know who you are hiring and how they treat your customers. Funny thing is I left it all behind me cause its life in these time unfortanetly. But i was reviewing a restautant I had just visited and was scrolling down my page It said I had visited Mystique Boutique and i was reading some of the comments and I saw a young Lady of my race say something about the people who work In there so it gave me a flash back and here it is... she felt some kind of way about the people you have working there now...just as I did. Something is very wrong going on in there and this business will suffer in due time...that is my story on it. Shop as you will. But always have an enjoyable...
Read moreSo I’ve been here a handful of times. First few times the employees were kind of rude. But eh i looked passed it. I had a lot of clothes in my hand and it was hard to carry at a certain point i was just thinking where the heck are the shopping carts?! (I’m kinda a shopaholic lol) Then i also noticed they don’t have a fitting room open which is traaaaagic. That’s not right. On top of that no mirrors anywhere in the actual store? How is one supposed to know if the clothes you’re buying will even look decent ? I understand they have a return policy but that still aint right. I also find that a lot of their clothes is very dainty and breaks easily. handle them with care. (I recommend reading the tag and seeing if the brand says dry cleaning, hand cleaning or machine wash BC they tend to tare quickly if you don’t follow instruction) I fight with this back and forth in my head bc i DO like this place for the amount of discounts they have, the cute and trendy clothing that tbh, is hard to find in other physical stores.(other than online) but i just find that there needs to be a few minor tweaks and adjustments to this place....
Read moreI absolutely love this store for its variety in clothing and styles especially clothing that has stretchy material for a voluptuous girl as I am. I must admit that some of the clothes don't carry the best type of material but that is the case in majority of the areas in the clothing industry, unless you are looking at high end designer styles. I see in the comments years ago where staff was not nice and I agree as I have been shopping there a while but in the most recent years I have interacted with nicer and more helpful staff. I also agree that if your closing hours is at 8pm don't be close at 7:55 pm, as there is technically 5 mins left. However, in my experience usually there is a method to their structure, maybe others abused that opportunity in the past hence their action. Overall, a huge improvement and haven't had a bad experience. The changing rooms are back being opened post covid giving cutomers the opportunity to try on and see if the clothes they selected fits. Also, shop with an open mind...the clothes won't be all perfect but pick the pieces that...
