They have terrible customer service. We bought anise seeds there that had an expiry date over a year ago. We didn't see this when we bought it, but only when we got home. We brought the item back and were told they could not help us without a receipt (we had brought the wrong receipt). Specifically they said, "If you had a receipt, we would take it back, but we cant help you without one." We left and came back 10min later with the correct receipt and then they said they would not take the return because "maybe we had an old one in our closet, bought a new one, and tried to give back the old one." I have never seen anything like this-they sell an expired product, tell us we can get the return if we bring the receipt, and then wont honor once we show the receipt. I have been going to this supermarket for over 20 years. I started going there because it was closest to where I lived at the time. Yes it does remind me of the smaller stores from years ago, like Bohack's and A&P. The staff knows you and you know them. I find them very helpful and accommodating, always offering to bring my groceries to my car, as well as them having a delivery service, for a very nominal fee, you can either call in your order, and they will deliver it, or you can go to the store and shop yourself, and they will also deliver your purchase for you. Nominal fee for delivering, tip not included. They are the only original family owned supermarket in Great Neck still thriving, while all the other big named stores have gone in and out of...

First time shop at this market and I will never go back again! First, there was no line in front of this cashier and she gave attitude like I cut the line or something, then i go behind a man who was far away standing on the other cashier line, ok fine, then when it is my turn, as I was approaching her then she stopped me again to wait till this guy left, alright, I understand the social distance and I was more than 6feet apart from this guy, ok fine. Then when I almost finish packing stuff to the cart, a lady is approached to this cashier before I left and she was literally right next to my wife and this cashier say nothing...and yes I am the only Asian in that market !!!! Feeling total u comfortable and will never go back to this...
