Read moreI was playing at my local courts, and Spinwave reps were there with a table full of different brand paddles for the players to try. I was not even looking for a new paddle, but, it was a great opportunity to try one without having to purchase it first. I tried different models of Joola, engage, and others. They all came in different price ranges, and, they all had unique characteristics. I tried a sword and shield paddle from the Honolulu Pickleball Co. Never even heard of them, but figured I would give them a try. I LOVED that paddle. Gritty surface for contact and spin. Not as much pop, as a Joola or Engage, but it had great control. Been playing with it for the last two weeks, and I'm thrilled. So thank you Alex, the rep from Spinwave in Great Neck NY for the opportunity to test out different paddles which I normally wouldn't have had if they hadn't been...
