We went for the first time today. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we stepped into the door. We were seated immediately as we arrived well past the lunch rush, but before dinner.
We ordered a few different things and ALL were delicious.
Appetizer: Beef Empanada- chopped up beef instead of ground beef was enrobed in a delicious pastry crust. It had great seasoning and the slice of lime cut through any sense of heaviness that sometimes accompanies beef with pastry.
Appetizer: Alitas Acevichada- Oh my goodness. If you like fried chicken and like lime flavoring, this is a dish well worth trying. The friend chicken was beautifully fried, moist and tender. It had a delicious sauce that was drizzled over the chicken and also set aside on the serving plate as additional sauce. Really fantastic. The staff mentioned that the sauce was the same at the ceviche sauce - so really delicious.
Main Meal: Arroz Chaufa Tres Sabores- Classic dish that every Peruvian restaurant should do well, and well they did. It was perfectly seasoned and the shrimp was NOT overcooked. I was really impressed with all the flavors which worked well together.
Aji de Gallina: Amazing. As my husband said, "I don't even mind that it is made with breast meat. It's still very moist and tender." Really this is amazing. The yellow sauce was delicious and the chicken was mixed in with some potatotes, which helped make the dish just a little creamier.
Bisteak al Pobre: The fried eggs were done beautifully sunny side up. The steak was served over fries, plantains, and white rice. Really, this is a staple dish which was excecuted well.
Dessert: We took it to go. We were too full to eat any more. But, the Passion Fruit Mousse was delicious, and we are awaiting to eat the Alfajores. They...
Read moreInka Fe is outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional Peruvian charm.
We started off with a ceviche that was nothing short of spectacular. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of citrus and spice. It set the tone for what was to come.
For our main courses, we chose two classic Peruvian dishes: ají de gallina and arroz con mariscos. The ají de gallina was a rich, creamy delight, with tender chicken and a sauce that was both comforting and exotic. The arroz con mariscos was equally impressive, a seafood lover's dream with perfectly cooked rice and an array of seafood that tasted like it had just been caught that morning.
To accompany our meal, we enjoyed chicha morada and limeonade. The chicha morada was a refreshing surprise, sweet and fruity, while the limeonade was perfectly tart and refreshing, a great palate cleanser between bites.
We ended our meal with a sweet dessert of picarones. These doughnut-like treats, drizzled with syrup, were the perfect ending to our meal. They were light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet, leaving us completely satisfied but not overly full.
Aside from the exceptional food, the service at Inka Fe is truly 10/10. The Owner and staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They made us feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish.
We look forward to coming again to try everything else on the menu. If you haven't had a chance to try the amazing food at Inka Fe, let this review be the reason to make a reservation today. It's an experience you won't...
Read moreMy friend and I came in because we were craving Peruvian food and didn’t want to drive all the way to Jackson heights or anywhere far away. The place is very cute, and looks more like a coffee shop. My friend got the Lomo Sandwhich and I the Ceviche with some calamari on top. The lomo Sanwhich wasn’t what we except to be, that was our fault because we didn’t read the description but it’s basically a piece of bread with the meat on the side. Since it is a sandwhich we expect at least some lettuce, cheese or something . I got the ceviche, the ceviche looked like a normal ceviche but it was full of salt and very citrusy. I asked to change for the Jalea because the ceviche disappointed. When I spoke to the manager or owner she stated that I couldn’t change it to the Jalea, by no means did i just want to change it to be charge the same price but she didn’t bother to ask. Regardless they changed it and made it less salty but the seafood itself felt like it was already marinated on the...
