Golden Garden — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Hi there. I wanted to discuss with them about where they get their produce from which I was speaking to the son. Told him that I want to find out where you get your produce from. He answered my question with a question by asking why are you asking me. Answering a question with a question isn't what one does. Told him I want to find out whether the produce isn't from China. That you get the produce local. He then said I don't have to tell you. Told him I have a right to ask being that if I'm going to eat at your place I have a right to know where the produce is coming from. Do you have a certificate which shows where you get the produce from? He said I don't have to show you. There are other places to go to. Told him by not showing me you're losing the chance of a customer. As a customer we have a right to know ahead of time where the produce is coming from being that we're paying to eat your food. All I want to know is whether the produce isn't coming from China which is reasonable being that China did bring a crisis to the World almost five years ago with the Coronavirus. Being that China did this and there hasn't been a regime change in their government since then there's no reason to trust them in the food that they bring...

I like the fact that they take card over the phone for delivery, hated that they made a tip mandatory. I'm all for giving a tip but don't like that they felt entitled to one before even receiving the service. The food was mediocre, nothing great but not terrible. I love eating out or ordering in and Golden Garden has always been one of my favorite places..Food is always fresh and delicious..when i order by phone, Quan Chen is an absolute delight..Always polite and very courteous. Golden Garden is family owned , and Quan Chen is a true asset to the restaurant..So thank you so much for taking good care...
