Pioneer Sports Cards — Local services in Town of Otsego

Full disclosure: this is my father’s store. He opened it over 30 years ago, just before I was born. I was raised in that store. Catfish Hunter held me as an infant in that place. There is no baseball to me without Pioneer Sports Cards.

My dad, Mark, has lived and breathed baseball his entire life. It is not a job or a “hustle” for him. Whether it’s a trip to Florida for spring training or the World Baseball Classic (there is no bigger American WBC fan), or just catching a Yankee game at home, you cannot mistake his devotion as anything other than a pure passion and respect for the sport.

This by far is my favorite store in Cooperstown. Mark is super knowledgeable and always has great items in the store. I’ve included just some of the plaques I have purchased over the years and my prized Braves 1995 WS replica ring.

My wife and I visit Cooperstown every year and Pioneer is always on the top of our list. No visit is complete without taking time to patiently comb through the great collection of items in the store.
