I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about Eileen at Cold Spring Apothecary. My great granddaughter gave me a gift certificate and I set up an appointment for a cut, color & style. Let me tell you, this is not like the salons I used to go to back in my day. They make their own products and without those harsh chemicals. I'm pretty sure that touch of gout I had is all cleared up. When I went back to the assisted living center after the lovely Eileen gave me a fabulous balayage (spelling?) the gentleman couldn't keep their eyes off of me. I could tell Ralph was very distracted during our weekly bridge game. Long story short (and thanks to Eileen!) Ralph and I did something after our bridge game that I haven't done since the Berlin Wall came down. I felt like that sassy Golden Girl, you know, Blanche. Unfortunately, I broke my hip getting frisky with Ralph. If only Eileen's magic hands could be applied to orthopeadic surgery! The good news is, Cold Spring Apothecary also has phenomenal massage services. I was thinking of inviting Ralph for a couple's massage, but Eileen made me feel so youthful and beautiful that I'm going to join that Tinder. I've never felt more comfortable in a salon chair. I just happened to search the "Coldspring" location on Instagram while I was house/pet sitting and looking for interesting things to do/see. I found some posts of beautiful hair colors she did on her page. I made an appointment for the next day. I don't live in Coldspring, I live in the Bronx and work in Manhattan. I've been to numerous Manhattan salons over the years, but have never found a stylist I felt comfortable going back to. I highly recommend Tyler. I also now use the shampoo from them, which is great and all-natural. Normally I would be intimidated by this kind of high end atmosphere, but everyone is so kind and friendly and down to earth. I will keep coming back as long as Tyler is working here. I enjoy her company...

A friend and I stopped into CSA a week ago. I sometimes have stiffness in my joints, and some nights I don't sleep well. So when I saw the joint salve and sleep salve I bought them. I didn't think they'd work, but I knew I loved their fragrances. OMGoddess, they WORK! I put the joint salve on my knees at night and I wake up without the usual stiffness. When I apply a little of the sleep salve under my nose, as directed, I sort of softly gentle into a deep sleep.
