I was excited to see a Joyce Leslie store as I haven’t seen one in years. I’m not from the area and don’t frequent the area so I decided to check it out. As usual they have a good selection of inexpensive clothing that you can mix and match to your liking. Two stars for the employees because if you are African American they follow you around the store. I did not see them do it to the Latino people. One even hit me with a hanger from behind as she tried to act as if she was putting clothes on a rack behind me. The funny thing is I wanted an item high off the wall and when I turned to ask for help there were TWO employees fiddling around less than 25ft away and when I said excuse me to ask for help they acted as if they didn’t hear me. Also be aware that there is no dressing room so you better hope your items fit or you only have seven days to...
Read morethe clothes that they sell are appealing but made with cheap material, hence rightfully so because of how inexpensive they are; makes sense. However I will not shop there ever again. I tried to return a few items and apparently the receipt wasn't good enough to return them, as I needed the tags and they even said that I will only get "store credit" in other words I will NOT get my money back. I walked all the way across the store and she did the same. I turned around and caught her behind me. I went to the register to check out and noticed that she did not follow the other customers around in the store who were predominantly Hispanic. This is interesting and I wonder if this a form of racially profiling of an African descent person based on my observation that none of the other shoppers experienced the scrutiny and profiling. I’m not sure what it is, it just did...
