I went to this nail salon a few years ago. The owner did my nails. I must say a pretty good job. I had an issue with an appointment the next visit. Something as simple as an appointment. I set an appointment for my next visit. When I was finished with my appointment. I Watch the owner write my name in the time slot to come back on that day and time to see a line going across my name with someone else name. Then look at me to say I don’t know what happened. Then told me you don’t have an appointment I already have an appointment. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! But you see most people don’t care about customer service people only care about getting their nails done. Without Excellent customer service you will have no business. When this incident happened this was a new business at the time, I thought that the situation could have been handled in a better way nope, the owner let me walk out without a care in the world, neither did I get my nails done. nor offered and apology or even another appointment. I can understand if there was some type of dispute. everything was so calm. other customers that was there did not know there was a problem. So now the owner has a problem with me because I set an appointment up then questioned when I arrive why my name is cross out and I no longer have an appointment. We never had a discussion that I was cancelling. Maybe that was her way of getting me to go to someone else yes, I have to mention. I did come back a few months ago and had an even worse experience with another employee. (got mad when I asked can you file my nails this way got up in the middle of the service to say I don't want to do your nails) Maybe this was all planned. (one will never know) I can not understand what did I do to deserve this treatment. The only thing that this establishment cares about is making money they care nothing about customer service. When you're a business owner your first priority should be customer satisfaction. I did not experience that on my second visit at all. I feel the owner and her sister pick and choose which clients they want to service. . Was it that hard to admit you made a mistake in regards to the appointment ? Try to rectify the situation ? Or was it personal? One will never know. I did nothing wrong but questioned why my name was cross out. Good luck to those who patronize this business. What ever you do don’t have a problem with owner or her sister. You will never get treated the same again. when your spending your hard earn money to support any establishment. you should be valued as a customer. After a botched set of acrylics from my previous nail spot, I was on the search for yet another place that could not only do my nails correctly, but also do them at an affordable price. I found my answer at OC Nail & Spa! After previously trying my luck at two of Middletown's popular nail spots and having no success, I decided to turn to Google for help. I had noticed that OC Nail had a 4.8 star rating, and so took the plunge. I couldn't be happier with my decision to do so! I had called and made an appointment, as they recommend you do so on their website. I walked in around 10 minutes early and was immediately seated at my nail tech's station. As it was my first time going here, I didn't have a preferred technician, and so I was seated with Kody. He is very professional and great at what he does! He was very meticulous with each process he did to my nails. One thing that surprised me was how gentle he was when removing my previously botched set of acrylics. At both places I had previously gone to the nail technicians practically rip my nails off, causing me extreme pain and discomfort. Because of this, I oftentimes dread getting my nails redone, as the process has always been painful with me. That was not the case with Kody! He always made sure to ask if I was experiencing any pain, and took his time with removing my nails. The process was painless! I was left feeling more comfortable and relaxed, which is always a plus. Not only that, but Kody is very polite and great at conversation. He got a kick out of my eyeliner! To make matters even better, the place and equipment was extremely clean and well organized. The layout provides a spacious and open establishment, unlike some congested nail salons that I have previously been to. Along with this, it is surprisingly quiet in there. The drills are not loud at all, and they play great music at a reasonable volume. It really creates a relaxing atmosphere. I really hope this place gets the popularity it deserves! I will definitely be returning in the future.
EDIT: I attached pictures of my nails that were done earlier today. I spent $55 in total for a full set of acrylics with color plus tip. They quoted me $30 over the phone, but I was informed that the price increased with color, length, shape, etc. I like my nails really long and coffin shaped, so I thought the price was fair. Usually I don't pay for color and just opt to do it myself to save money, but after seeing the amazing job Kody did, I decided to get them in black. My nails turned out a bit on the thicker side, but they tend to last longer that way, so I have no complaints!...
Read moreI went to this place for 3 months. Little did I know that fungus was growing and no one caught it. Not sure how That even happened considering their supposed to be licensed professionals. As soon as it was brought to their attention. They immediately tried to shift the blame else where. Not realizing I have record of every transaction date and time. However, THE OWNERS (Scott and his wife who sits in the first row in the second chair) refused to provide me with their business information when I mentioned I was going to contact the proper authorities on the matter. I gave them 24 hrs to return my phone call in regards to this issue and I was told to contact via email and Facebook. Still no response. I never got a call back. They are extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!!! I came in on Monday. Thankfully I couldn’t be seen because I was late. When I went to another salon that day. They filed my nails down and found fungus on both hands. Approximately 6 nails had fungus. And my nail bed on my toes were so thin they split like paper. I called crying hysterically for help. And she told me it wasn’t her problem. And that since I was somewhere else. To let them fix it. NEVER ONCE ISSUED AN APOLOGY ON BEHALF OF HER OWN ESTABLISHMENT When I asked for a resolution. They told me to treat it myself. THEY WERE EXTREMELY DISMISSIVE (husband and wife) “These things happen”they said . They refused to take any responsibility because I’m a BLACK WOMAN!!! I’ve spent much money with them. And to have been treated so poorly. And the disgusting condition of my nails. I beg that you strongly reconsider before coming here. Oh. And the next nail tech made it very clear that fungus spreads on to tools and other customers can catch it as well ! I will be forwarding these photos to every news broadcaster in the county.
