This course is amazing and worth the $200 BUT, unfortunately the guy working in pro shop was very rude. We were in Reno celebrating my buddies, son’s 21st birthday. He had made 2 tee times for a total of 8 of us. Reno got the better of 2 of the guys and they didn’t make it. (So we had 2 groups of 3 going out. The guy in the pro shop told us there would be $100 cancellation fee for each of the guys that didn’t make it. He said he would either split that $200 amongst the 6 of us or just charge my buddies card. My buddy didn’t appreciate that and suggested we could all just leave and find another course and the guy had the stones to say he would charge all the cancellation fees to guys card who had already paid. Nowhere on their website or in the tee time booking section does it mention anything about a $100 cancellation fee. I have looked. Our group has played golf all over the world and we have never encountered this at any other club. It’s a shame this policy and the rude pro shop staff put a damper on what was otherwise an amazing course and day. The kids got quite drunk and took a wrong turn around hole 7. A yardage book or map of some sort could be helpful. Weather was perfect, chicken Cesar wrap was pretty good. Marshal was nice. With a different attitude and interaction in the pro shop this would have been a 5...

This course is beautiful and I would recommend playing it at least once. The only reason this is a 1 star post is because the management/staff is horrific. We called ahead because we were going to arrive exactly at our tee time. We couldn't change the tee time (not mad about that, was our fault) since they were "completely booked out" however, they weren't. After we were rushed to the first tee (and told we didn't have time to grab beers or snacks) we played 9 in 95 degrees without ever encountering the beverage cart a single time. Called the food and drink # and went straight to voicemail, called the pro shop and was told "they're very busy but feel free to continue calling and can leave voicemails for the restaurant." The starter mocked an earlier group because "they took 2 1/2 hours to play 9" and explained that's why they're so backed up before asking us to keep the pace of play up. We felt very rushed. This is a 10/10 course ran by absolute clowns. I would maybe get fleeced for another 130$ to experience the course again but only if I'm byob and water. Never saw the Bev cart on the back 9 either (yes she was supposedly "making rounds all day"). They charge country club prices for a local municipal course service. Play it once and take a lot of pictures. Really wish they could figure it out because the course...

Pretty course. But a complete waste of money. Let me explain. As a travel writer I play hundreds of courses all over and this particular one is one of my least favorites. First you pay $175 and the driving range is two mats, hitting into a net. Second as of September 11, the website offers a “new breakfast menu” which was non existent. The manager used COVID as an excuse which is fine. but don’t advertise what you don’t have, we drove two hours to play there and got there early expecting to have a great breakfast before our round. Finally there was no cart girl the entire round! So no food or drinks of any kind, and no water on the course. We saw her there packing the cart when we got there apparently she decided she didn’t want to work and decided to go home. All of these things are fine but if you charge $175 have at least water on the course, find someone to drive the food cart, and for god sake update your website so people don’t drive two hours expecting one thing just to get...

I had been looking forward to playing here for a long time. One of those courses you have to save up for at $195 rack rate ($175 NCGA rate) but was told it was worth it. The layout is 5 stars no doubt. Beautiful tree lined fairways throughout with fun shotmaking value. However, I get to the first hole and the starter says 7 of our greens never recovered from the snow and are unplayable... Is that their fault? Of course not, However, we didn't get an email, there is nothing on the website, and the first time we hear of it is at the first hole. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Not only did we not get any communication they charged the full rate. As much as I would love to go back and play the course again because it is beautiful, how could I when I wouldn't know if the greens were good due to zero communication? Big bummer.

Absolutely fantastic course. Went here for a bachelor party, and was stoked to see some wildlife while playing the course. For its second day open, the course was running great. Slowish greens but we can expect that to fix itself soon. Unfortunately, we ran into some nasty weather and our round was cut short due to rain, lightning, and thunder. We knew we were gambling with nature since storms were clearly forecasted for the day, but so happy we could get what we could in. We did hangout in the clubhouse to see if the storm would pass through, but no such luck. The pro shop was extremely gracious and worked with us to rectify the unfortunate weather circumstances. Unfortunately for the pro shop, they did have to deal with some wildlife of their own, but they handled it as professionally as they could.
