The worst customer service I have ever encountered in the retail world. The young immature staff in this store are unprofessional, snarky and otherwise just nasty to communicate with. If you are simply making a purchase they are fine. That’s where the customer service ends….taking your money. They have no time for questions, comments concerns and the chosen tone of voice has been unappreciated on what is probably the fourth or fifth visit to the Bridgeport location in as many months. Apparently I am spending too much time in their store. What has also become apparent is that the manager is in over her head with her job function, she also has created a culture within the store that has normalized being nasty to the clientele. I understand the work force is different in today’s day and age, good help is terribly difficult to find. We are all feeling it across the country. I have a choice in where I shop, free people is a preferred brand but so is my peace. I will no longer give my money to this company. I have decided to take my experience over the last 2 years in this store as a challenge to find a new brand where the staff is kind, where the staff understands that if the only way a corporation is going to take notice in the way customers are being treated is if sales drop. There are so many good brands out there, I choose not to let Free People have this kind of impact in...
Read moreA hippie chic clothing store for women. I went in here with my wife one day when she was shopping and we both thought the place was a little funny. The clothing screams the 60s with a modern touch. The clothing had the odd effect of making us feel both old and too young. We couldn't quite figure out the target market.
Having said that the store was well organized and had a nice vibe to it and the staff were really friendly. The clothing was expensive but that's the Bridgeport effect of selling to well off people in an expensive mall. It is otherwise decently priced.
Surprised this is the first review of this place as of this posting. Seems like a good place if you fit the weird target market they are going for. Would recommend at least walking in just to take a look and see...
Read moreFP clothes are kinda hit or miss fit-wise since I’m shorter and somewhat curvy. That said, I’ve landed some super awesome pieces that my friends envy, but I’ve also had to return a lot of online purchases (since I can’t try them on first). I’ve noticed that everything FP makes has always been of high quality, and, above all, the people working here are wonderful. Most places make you feel like a criminal for returning things, but these ladies know just how much I spend here (and that I keep a hefty portion of it). Thank you FP for understanding just how challenging online shopping can be, and for being friendly and flexible for consumers caught in (but not...
