I was recently in the KOP store, and I was racially profiled. I've been in the store many, many times before, but there were several new sales associates, and they made me feel unwelcome! Normally, when I go into the store, I get a lot of stares from their Caucasian customers, as if my brown complexion self should not be shopping in the store with them. However, this time, when I was in the store, I received stares from not only the Caucasian customers but one particular sales associate (Wentz) who followed me around in the store. I complained to the store manager and the only thing he said he could do was, during my next shopping trip to the store, he could provide me with a "personal shopping experience"... this was even more insulting... basically, he was going to have a sales associate walk around the store with me while I shopped... I guess to make sure I didn't steal anything. I've been shopping at this particular store for over 5 years, and it's sad that people of color are treated differently than non-persons of color. This experience set me back 50 years. I suggest that people of color be mindful that you are being profiled. I worked in retail and it has been my own experience... when black and brown people are shopping... they are being policed, while non-persons of color are actually doing all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in today just before 5 and went right to the sale section and immediately saw the glassware i came in for. One side of the isle around the table was blocked by a group of women shopping and the other side by an employee straightening up the racks. So I said āexcuse meā and passed by her and grabbed the glasses. Still blocked in on either side, again I excused myself and squeezed past the employee (just trying to get out of a small crowded room with glasses in hand). She likely didnāt hear me or didnāt care to be bothered again and we brushed elbows as i passed. Not even sure if was was elbows but if you ask her Iām sure sheāll remember considering she was so irritated that she proceeded to scoff, roll her eyes and shake her head directly in front of me. Planned on shopping around a bit more but felt like i just got confronted by a middle school bully so i immediately checked out and left. Iāve worked years of retail at KOP. I get customers can be annoying, rude and act like theyāve never been out in public before but the blatant attitude right in front of me was insane. She was short with long wavy brown hair. Donāt want her fired just let her know itās her fault I donāt have a cool outfit to wear to the Lorde concert and will be shopping at a different location...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this Anthropologie on Wednesday September 6th, 2023 around 6:30PM. I drove quite sometime to get specifically to this Anthropologie because I was looking for something specific for a conference that I was in town for. Let me just say, I should have listened to the google reviews. I walked around for at least 20 minutes, not a single person acknowledged me or asked if I was looking for something (which I was!) I did find a couple of things and went back to the fitting area to try on. I came out because I had a question about the fit on the jumpsuit I tried on. The associate answered my question, but then continued to go "over the top" on how great this outfit was on me, and that I "had to get it". It was not good, and I really did not appreciate the passionless assistance that they were providing. Will...
