Urban Outfitters — Local services in Upper Merion Township

This was the worst experience I have ever had shopping. Usually I don’t write reviews but this was terrible. My two friends and I came in to shop and right away every employee was giving us dirty looks and making us feel uncomfortable. Then the one employee literally put her hands on me to move us out of the way which is incredibly inappropriate and told us we needed to get out of the way because they were taking pictures. If they were doing that the store should have been closed. Each one of us had terrible anxiety the whole time and then we had to put an item back because we could not shop the whole time and the employee rudely took the item and said what’s your name in the rudest tone. The only thing good was a nice guy who said how are you guys doing today. After all of that happened in a 15 minute span we tried to get out and couldn’t leave because they blocked off the front exit and the other side they yelled at you to move so they could take their pictures. This was a terrible experience for me and my friends and the employees should all learn to be more respectful if they’re working with people. Also at the end the sensor went off because we had perfume in our purses that we had previously bought and the one employee passive aggressively told us she couldn’t check our bags if it wasn’t an urban bag insinuating that we stole when we were willing to show her our purses. a few weeks ago i had gone in here to see if a sale that my coworker told me about was still happening. after looking around for about a minute it seemed like it wasn’t but i just wanted to check the upstairs incase i was wrong. suddenly i see two employees watching me from a distance, i instantly felt weird but brushed it off because i wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary. i was literally genuinely just looking around and probably was gonna buy something regardless if i found a sale or not (i did, but shouldn’t have). as i’m still looking i just kept noticing these two, i felt extremely uncomfortable as i assumed they thought i was going to steal or something. i didn’t have a bag with me or anything to make it seem like i would do that (i clearly was not and that was the first store i went to that day). i don’t know what about me made them do that but after seeing a review about how this store has followed someone based off of tattoos, i felt compelled to share this. extremely unprofessional and strange to keep eyes on someone solely based on the way they look. please do better as i was someone that only wanted to shop, and i was made extremely anxious and...

It’s so tiring going into stores and having the workers clearly hate helping people. Usually, regardless of the experience I will typically go through with my purchase but yesterday at UO I walked away. I went to the check out to ask to see if they had my size in a specific shoe. No line. Standing right in front of her as she’s folding something. She doesn’t even acknowledge I’m there for an uncomfortable amount of time. When she does acknowledge me she just seems annoyed I’m asking for help. When I explain I wanted to see if they had “The short chestnut ugg in a size 7” she just goes “I don’t know which one you’re talking about” with a rude tone of voice then goes “like a regular Ugg?” and I repeat “yeah the short chestnut Ugg”. She went and looked, brought them out and set them in front of me, doesn’t say a thing to me. I look in and it’s a different color. Then I said “Oh I wanted chestnut” and she just looks at me again with an uncomfortable pause like she’s annoyed. At that point I just say “Actually I’m okay thank you though” and walked out.
