Alright, let’s talk Wonder, this hidden culinary playground that houses 19 different restaurants under one roof. Yes, nineteen. A foodie’s dream and a commitment issue’s worst nightmare (because how do you choose?).
📍 Location? Great. Easy to find, and the way it’s set up makes it feel like a modern gourmet hub. ⚡ Speed? Impressive. Whether you’re dining in (like we did) or grabbing takeout, they move fast, no long wait times, just straight to the good stuff.
🪑 But be warned: there are only four tables and one bathroom, so if it’s packed, prepare to hover or be strategic. 🚗 Parking? Off-peak? Smooth. But I can already see the chaos during peak hours, shared lot with multiple businesses means you’ll need luck (and maybe a backup plan).
Now the decor? Chef’s kiss. If you’re into olive and dark green tones, you’re gonna feel right at home. It’s got this calming, classy vibe that feels intentional and cozy.
FOOD TIME: We sampled a trio of flavor: • Fred’s Meat and Bread: Philly cheesesteak was giving serious Unc energy, could’ve used a bit more cheese and pepper (don’t be shy y’all), but still a solid pick. • Detroit Brick Pizza Co.: Got the meat lover’s delicious… but they fumbled a little. I specifically asked for no pepperoni, and it still made an appearance. Not a dealbreaker, just mildly annoying. • Room for Dessert: Their unified dessert concept? Brilliant. Sweet ending, no regrets.
✨ Staff? Total vibe cool, helpful, and added to the positive energy of the space.
Final Take: Love the concept, love the execution, minor hiccups but still an amazing experience. Would I go back? Absolutely. Just hold the pepperoni...
Read moreWonder describes itself as a “new kind of food hall” with “multiple award-winning restaurants.” When I hear that, I picture a large dining hall—something like Reading Terminal Market or an upscale mall food court. But that’s not quite what Wonder is.
We chose to dine in, and while the food was delicious, the experience did not cater to dine-in customers at all. There were just five tables available, despite there being space for at least 5–10 more. All ordering is done at a kiosk—which is totally fine, as that’s become standard at many quick-service restaurants. However, there was no way to indicate we were dining in, and there was no soda fountain. The only beverage options were bottled or canned drinks, or a water dispenser that served lukewarm water—with no ice available.
Even though we were eating in the restaurant, all of our food was packaged in to-go bags and containers. We were the only family dining in; nearly everyone else coming and going appeared to be delivery drivers.
On a positive note, the food itself was excellent. We ordered Mexican food, a burger, and wings, and everything was high-quality and flavorful.
My advice: Add a soda fountain and make the space more inviting for dine-in guests. With a few adjustments, Wonder could really live up to its potential as a true food hall experience—not just a...
Read moreI’ve been seeing Wonder advertised everywhere and finally decided to stop by for lunch. When you walk in, there is a counter with staff that you can order from; and to the side are also a few kiosks available. There are about 4-5 tables to sit at if you’re eating in.
There were a variety of restaurants listed. Each storefront has a small menu that ranged from pizza and wings to pasta and steak. The prices were quite expensive for what you’re paying for. For example, there were some steak options listed for $30+ that seemed to only include the steak. Given that it’s akin to a cafeteria-style, walk-in, self-seat restaurant, it felt a bit overpriced. In comparison, a juicy steak with two sides and a drink at Texas Roadhouse retails for around the same $30 price tag.
I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich from The Mainstay by Marc Murphy for $19. While the sandwich was fine, it was definitely not worth $19. You also do not get sides or a drink for the price. For reference, you can get an equally, if not better, chicken sandwich that comes with fries and a drink from Chick-fil-A for $11.
Overall, an interesting concept but overpriced for what you get. Will not be...
