The first time I went in to pick up my prescription it was not ready. I was in King of Prussia on holiday and forgot my meds back in Texas. My doctor personally called me to inform me she approved and sent in my prescription to this particular CVS. The woman pharmacist advised me that my Doctor or the Physician's Assistant would have to physically talk to them on the phone before they would release my medication to me. THIS IS A FIRST! Never in all my years of traveling and having a prescription transferred to another CVS has this ever been a response I received. It was already later in the evening and I need to take my shot in the morning, whoever that of course did not happen. I called my doctor the following morning and let her know what what going on, she immediately called CVS, then called me back to let me know that is not a normal policy and that I can go get my medication that I should have already had. I went in for the second time. This time I was not greeted instead a teenager named John was not only RUDE but arrogant with his arms crossed as if I was inconveniencing him from his facebook time. BTW why are we looking at FB if you are working??? I am MUTE so I communicate with my phone and JOHN seemed to be inconvenienced by the fact that I do not speak. I was trying to get help and clarity as to why I was paying more than I am supposed to and instead of him even trying to assist me he told me to wait for someone else to help me. When the guy Frank came up asking what he can help with as if he was not there the entire time looking at John looking at me when I was showing him my message of what I was needing assistance with. Frank as well was not a delight. It is very apparent that this CVS does not like "outsiders". In fact it was extremely uncomfortable having these two treat me less than human. If you work in the healthcare industry and are customer facing its your responsibility as a pharmacist or working in that area to ensure that the consumer is taken care of with compassion. YOU never know when the shoe will be on the other foot so to speak. Why work in a field if you hate your job. It is time that ya'll get new employees who actually care and enjoy what they are doing. Especially as someone whom is on Holiday I expected CVS to have better standard of workers. I don't recommend this CVS drive across town to save yourself stress as well as...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want a pharmacy that doesn't order your rx, doesn't know how to input a savings card, and is heartbreakingly rude and unhelpful to everyone at the counter.
I was there for over an hour last week while they messed up my medication, and I watched them turn away an elderly man who wanted to sign up for a covid test, telling him to go home and do it online, offering no help or instructions whatsover. I watched them tell a disabled woman in pain with an order ready alert that they had also not filled her medication yet and to try again later. And every other person in line, having an issue with their rx being filled.
They filled my medication incorrectly, after I had to wait over an hour because they had not actually filled the medication (despite calling to say it was ready). It took 3 people to enter my savings card which is obscene for a PHARMACY. I spent the whole time explaining that I had the savings card to cover the first dose so we wouldn't have to wait on insurance authorization. Which I had already called days earlier to explain and input the card information.
They filled out the wrong dosage(!!!!!), using up my savings card, told me they would order more and to come back to reset the charge so I could still use the savings card when I picked up the remaining medication, which they were ordering now. I called again today to check in - they had not even ordered the medication because they were still waiting on insurance authorization, and didn't know about fixing the savings card. For a medication that costs $700.
I was baffled by the complete lack of follow-through and understanding and asked who I could speak to to get consistent information, as I had been there over an hour last week and had gone back a second time (at their request) to reset the charge on the savings card so they could apply it to the next order and said they were ordering it while I was there. The person on the phone said they couldn't do anything about it and that she's the pharmacy manager so I'm stuck with her.
Whatever you do, don't put your health in their hands. I'll drive farther to avoid...
Read moreIf you are looking to buy toilet paper this is your spot. If you are looking for compassionate care and helpful pharmacy staff stay far far away. This review is specifically targeted at the pharmacy department. I have been using this pharmacy for few years with tolerable experiences. My wife has had problems in the past with them being rude and poor customer service but our quiet suffering is over. This particular visit took the cake in terms or poor patient care and complete lack of customer service. I was recently release from the hospital after undergoing foot surgery. My wife is out of town so I was only able to fend for myself to fill my scripts I was on crutches in a hospital gown and hospital bracelet still on my wrist. Instead of offering me seat and asking me how they could help, I was refused service with 10 seconds. I was told that the hospital did not fill out the prescription properly and was told they would not offer me help in anyway. They refused to call the hospital and verify whatever needed to be done. I was rudely told to leave. The experience was so negative I called the corporate CVS and lodged a compliant called(doubt they will do anything). If you are a patient looking for friendly compassionate care and helpful service do not go to this CVS with your scripts. I went to the Walgreens in the next shopping center over and they were more than helpful and sympathetic to my condition. Walgreen was able to make calls and get me taken care in less then 10 minutes. Walgreens pharmacists offered me information about the drugs I was prescribed more so than the CVS has ever done in the past. Again you can buy candy and make-up with no problems but if you are entrusting this pharmacy with your health I would stay far away and go to the Walgreens in the next...
