Recently I have to upcycle and give to the needy, so I will tend to look behind PUBLIC dumpsters to try and find items that can be donated. The woman who appeared to b the owner rudely came out back claiming it was her dumpster although we were in a lot of yet again public dumpsters. In the state of PA it is not illegal to “dumpster dive” so long as there aren’t any private property or trespassing signs which there were not. We calmly explained to her that we in facts weren’t doing anything wrong which she then became angry and verbal! So we decided to head out of “her dumpster” for now. But we will be back as she had many valuable items in there that could’ve been donated! If the owner chooses not to donate I put it in my hands to do the good deed for her. Perfectly good plates and items with the tags still on which is why I’m assuming she was so upset by. To the lady who rudely addressed me when the previous worker said nothing to us, shame on you. God sees all and he surely doesn’t...

The store almost always advertises everything as 50% off but even with that discount things are ridiculously overpriced. Though it’s very far, I highly recommend Philly...
Read moreI have been going here for quite some time and it pains me to give them 3 stars but the past several visits I have just been astounded by how much they have increased their prices on things. It's wildly inconsistent, but several things I have looked at the past few trips I know I could find elsewhere cheaper. What's the point of being a thrift store if you charge retail prices, and, in some cases, higher? I do very much so enjoy supporting this mission and the staff is typically very sweet, just wish they'd focus more on moving donated goods than squeezing every last cent...
